a little bit of smoke when I rev.
using stock predator tune with the MIL disabled and the O2 sensor disabled also.

any suggestions about improving MPG or performance??

you need to improve combustion. try the screamin deamon coils for one. next you might want to put in a set of ngk iridium plugs in it aswell. when you install the plugs you will want to index them. jacobs electronics sell the washers you will need to index them. the come in 3 different sizes and instructions on how to do it. just point the electrode to the center of the piston to give you better combustion. if you do these things i know you will feel a difference.

I'd suggest a good set of underdrive pulleys such as steeda's. not the piggyback style. coils are a waste of money. i'd be really reluctant to add washers to the sprark plugs to index them,as the 4.6 has a reputation of spitting out plugs as it is. if you data log the o2 sensors and the lambda correction with the predator and it's consistantly around 1, don't worry about a small puff of smoke when you crack the throttle. the o2s should be rapidly cycling between o and 1.00 volts in closed loop. if they are your fuel mixture is being controlled properly by the ecm. if you drive mainly in town, 3.73 gears might help fuel economy as well, without hurting highway mileage too much. If you're not getting any codes it's likely your fuel trim is fine. keep your tire pressures up, and drive like an old lady.
