2008 Sierra/Silverado Predetor Update

Hi, as a lot of people I assume, I am looking for an update for the predotor for the new body style gm gas truck, I have a 5.3 08 Sierra, and I'v been told that an update will be released soon, with the 9r03 ( U7194 ) I still can't change any parameter in the shifting timeing and limits, nether disable the tourqe convertor and many other predetor functions that works on other and old gm models.
Is this going to be supplied or the device will be 75% useless since excpt the diabling of the dod and speed limit and tire recal. the minor power gain is not noticable becaus of the dumb transmetion GM installed in our cars ( the 4 speed one) will prevint any increase in the power.
I am not complaining, but just I wish to use the device instead going and make a custom tune an the device will be useless.
OR ( a quastion here ) : if I get a diablo custome tune , will it change my shifting limits ?

Thanks.

no, nothing will help/change anything to do with the tranny - i.e. shifting, tranny TM, etc etc, since there is no TCM support yet...

not even a custom tune will help with any of that, since the predator can not communicate with the TCM anyway...

there is still no tranny support...

The 4 speed can do just fine, it's not holding your truck back from making more power and accelerating faster. GM pulls the power to the ground on take off and downshift/upshifts to have a drivetrain combo that will last a looooong time. From the factory it's good, but not great. Tuning can make it great, just not in handheld form yet like the Predator is.

If you can't tell the difference with the diablo installed, despite the continued lack of TCM support, you should re-calibrate your butt dyno. Fine tune your diablo, then run your truck 0-60 and time it. Then put the stock tune back in and do the same procedure. I have the smaller 4.8, with a K&N 63 series intake and the diablosport tune, I went from 9.5 seconds to about 8.2. The factory PE delay is the big killer.

Thanks guys for your quick response, Slivy, I have borla catback, 77 K&N , throutel spacer ( I knew it is a big lie late ) , and even when I have put the predetore, I couldnt feel any diffrence, actualy I tryied racing a stock exact car like mine, and they were exactly the same performance, except that my truck is 220 pounds havier because of accesoris, does it make that difrence a 200 pounds ?

or sometime I think becasue I am an old sport bike rider i lost the sense of car accerelation!! maybe it is just me that I dont feel the power in over 5 seconds machines.

anyhow, how can I re-calibrate my dyno? or how to fine tune the predetor ?

 Recalibrate the butt dyno, he isn't feeling the gain from the driver's seat.

They say 100 lbs. is a tenth in the quarter, I wouldn't think you would feel it too much in a truck close to 5000 to begin with.

True, these huge trucks don't hold a candle to a sport bike, but realistically I don't believe they do bad at all for there size. Mine ran 16.0 @ 94? I think, the holeshot is terrible, so it picks up alot once it starts moving and climbs rpm.

maybe get a colonoscopy to make sure there's nothing blocking the butt dyno sensor???

or a rectal flush??

if he can't tell the difference with his butt dyno when driving the truck on pavement, is that an ass-phalt???

Be careful not to destroy too many brain cells during the colonoscopy....
