Help with a 2008 silverado

Hi everyone. I still have my 2008 silverado 5.3l. I have the intune that I used to disable AFM and changed the tire size back in 2015. Everything has been working great but I am now getting a check engine light. Was wondering if you all could help me out with it?

I recently had a check engine light ...

UpdateAgent 1.0 error

I have installed UpdateAgent 1.0 on my windows 10 laptop. When I start the program, I get an error message. I have tried repairing the install and also tried uninstalling and reinstalling but I still get the error. Any ideas?

will intune work with 2000 camaro?

Was curious if the intune would work with my 2000 3.8l Camaro 5 speed? Would like to put the diablo tune on it and see what it's like! :drivingbad:

Re: 87 octane tune

Make sure you are logging Knock Retark (KR), Timing/Spark Advance, and Total Knock Spark Retard along with RPM and throttle position. I am running the 87 tune on my 2012 Silverado 5.3 and I am seeing KR at WOT and can hear the pinging. I've pulled 2* of WOT timing and it's still there. I want to ...

Re: 87 octane tune

Okay, I filled up with 87 octane. Truck is broke in with the injector slope adjustment. I took another log and checked it with dslogredux. It now recommends going -2.
What do I look for in my logs to check for spark knock and how much is bad? Is this the valve pinging I hear occasionally? Could I ...

Re: 87 octane tune

Is it just in my head or am I really watching my gas gauge drop as I drive? Lol, is it normal to use that much more fuel when I set the injector slope -5?

Re: 87 octane tune

I ran 2 logs through DSLogRedux and both times it said to reduce injector slope to -5. So, I did that today. We'll see how it does and I'll post back.

Re: 87 octane tune

I created a log on my way to work. Not sure if it will be a good one though since I am currently running 89 octane. Also it was in a lot of stop and go traffic and it was raining. I couldn't hear the valves either. Not sure what to make of the log but I will post it incase you want to look at it ...

87 octane tune

I've been using the 87 octane tune for a while now and am still getting valve ping when going up hills. I have a 2008 Silverado 5.3l with DOD disabled. I am using Mobil gas and have put lucas injector cleaner in my tank to see if that helps but it didn't. Also last time I filled up, I used 89 octane ...

Re: ABS and Brake light on, plus valve chatter

No go on programming the abs module. They hooked up the tech2 but it didn't give them any options for tire size for my 2008 truck. I am down to 33.5" tire size setting with the diablo. Instead of tripping the abs light around 45 to 50 mph like before, now you have to be going faster like say 55 to ...

Re: Viewing adjusted parameters?

One more question. If I just want to go in and change tire size only, can I just go to adjustable parameters? When I try that now I get, "Unable to resolve tune for LTW ()"

Viewing adjusted parameters?

When I go back in to modify my stock tune again, It shows that I have disabled DOD. However when I got adjust tire size it always shows 36". I can adjust it to 34" and go back and it is on 36" again. Is there a way I can check to make sure it is writing what I choose to the ecm?

Re: ABS and Brake light on, plus valve chatter

Ok, does this tune write to the abs module? I talked to a shop around town and they said the tech 2 can change tire size in the abs module. Should I have them try that as well?
