Re: RE: 2006 Mustang GT - Extremely Rich @Idle - Hot or Cold
Well, I would love to do that, but it took me nearly a full year to get on a dyno that tuned DiabloSport here in St. Louis. Then they charged me $300.00 for 4 pulls, and all he did was lean out the top-end. I have just about every bolt-on mod you can think of, and it only made 310 RWHP and 307 lbs ...

2006 Mustang GT - Extremely Rich @Idle - Hot or Cold
Hi, I have a U7140 and a 2006 Mustang GT with FRPP Hot Rod cams. I have an off-road x-pipe, and the car smells extremely fat at idle, whether hot or cold operating temperature (smelled fat when CATs were still in place, too). I recently had the car dyno-tuned, but the only tweak made according to ...

2006 Mustang GT - 7140 - C & L Racer Tune
I just swapped out my Airaid CAI for a brand spankin' new C & L Racer CAI, and I went to load the C & L tune that comes with the Predator, and it is not in the tuner. I swear I remember seeing the Racer tune in the 7140 before you guys sent me the Airaid tune. Am I crazy? I just need the C & L Racer ...

Re-tune / FRPP "Hot Rod" Cams - 2006 Mustang GT -
I am installing FRPP's Hot Rod camshafts in my 2006 Mustang GT, and I have a U7140 Predator. I also have an Airaid CAI that you guys sent me a custom tune for a couple of years ago. I have been told that I will need a re-tune after the cams are installed because Air/Fuel will be way off, and to ...

Re: 2006 Mustang GT - U7140, Failed Emissions Test... Now W
I did go back to the factory tune (which is kinda like kissing my sister), and I reintalled the venturi in the Airaid CAI tube as well so the car would think it has the stock air box. I just wanted to get the skinny on the "Readiness Test" before I took it back and used up my one free retest.

2006 Mustang GT - U7140, Failed Emissions Test... Now What?
I have a 2006 Mustang GT and a U7140 (v.8r36), and the car just failed emissions testing in Missouri. Other mods include FRPP ceramic shortys, FRPP x-pipe (CATs intact), JBA axle-backs, UDPs, Airaid CAI, Predator Airaid 93 octane tune and 4.30s. Any idea how I can make this thing pass?

2006 Mustang GT - U7140, Beginning to Lay Down a Bit...
I have a 2006 Mustang GT/U7140, and it seems to me that it is beginning to lay down a bit. Still has good bottom end horsepower and torque, but nothing like it had when I first put the Predator to it with all my mods... CAI, UDP's, headers, x-pipe, JBA axlebacks, etc. Another thing that is happening ...

Excellent... so I'll just do what the technician says and away I go...mikel wrote:The headers should not require extensive tuning, nor should the gears other than correcting the spedo.

U7140 - 2006 Mustang GT - Added 4:30s & FRPP Shortys
I have an Airaid CAI & UDPs already in place, and have just added FRPP ceramic shorty headers. Friday morning, a set of FRPP 4:30 gears will be installed at my local Ford dealer. I have NOT fired the car yet, as I am going to change the other idler on the 4.6, then reinstall the serp and hopefully ...

RE: U1793 XMODEM Timeout
Try setting the baud rate in your Predator and your PC to 112,500, and make sure both com ports are set to the same port (com1 to com1). Everything else should be fine, but I don't understand why you're using a modem. Aren't you just using a regular serial cable or USB to serial cable?

Global Timing Tweaks - '06 Mustang GT & U7140
What kind of gains could I expect, if any, from tweaking the global timing settings in my tune? Is this even advisable? If so, where would you recommend starting point or any limitations to the settings?
Thanks very much,
Jim
