How can I tell if mine is an older one?

I just purchased an egr blocker plate so how can I tell if my programmer will clear the code thrown from the plate? I have an older predator I'm sure.

I recently purchased the U7185 for my LLY and was wondering if I need guages to run the tow tune when towing my race car for monitoring egt? Also, would I need guages to run the standard tune for daily driving? My truck has a 4 inch turbo back performance exhaust and the turbomouth piece mod.
Thanks ...
