You have the older version in your unit. I had same problem. Call Phil in tec. dept. and he can send you the new crom file. It should help with all your problems except fuel economy. You need the 7r19d file not the 8r.

Have Phil send you the new crom file for the 7.3 The 8r gave plenty of trouble, 16% drop in fuel economy, 100hp tune. New file 60 hp still same fuel loss but shifts better.

I have the U7170 and had problems. Phil sent me a new crom file on 2/4/08 seems to be better. Is there more changes coming for theU7170 and how would I know about them, when available?
