Single User CMR

Post by gizmodo »

Brian talked a lot about this before leaving the company. He indicated it was in progress. Has this been abandoned? It is the only thing SCT has that you guys don't.

Ok cool. If you ever need beta testers... ;)
The apostrophe does not mean "Look out, here comes an S"!

"I couldn't care less" means it is impossible to care less - "I could care less" just makes you look stupid.

I just don't get this "more time" attitude. I just got off another forum about the single user CMR. The thread was started in 2004. It's been 5 years now that you've been "talking about it" and still nothing has been done. Are you guys wanting to go out of business? How many years and how many customers are you going to let slip by before you do something about it. I would really like to tweek my own numbers and not rely on someone I've never met. Let's just get this done already.

Releasing it will put them out of business quicker then not releasing it. Too many fuck ups who think they know what they're doing and really have no clue. Once the CMR gets released, those people are gonna be blowing shit up on a daily basis, and who's gonna get the blame? DiabloSport for releasing the product.

That reasoning makes no sense. You could blow you engine up using a predator as well, but they still sell those. Plus, SCT has had the single user license for quite a while and they are still in business. Come on DS! Send me source code and I'll work on it in my spare time. :)

All I'm asking for is an interface on the PC that is like the one on the Predator. I would like to ba able to go through the setting one by one slowly and put together a tune in the air conditioned comfort of my home. Then have the time to look it over and consider what I've created and make changes based on planning first then application. Every vehicle that comes off an assembly line is just slightly differnent from the others. What works on Freds car may not work on mine. Give us the ability to sit down at the computer and look over the options and put things together ourselves before loading onto the PCM. I do appreciate what has gone into the Predator and like what it can do, but sitting in the hot car trying to figure out the menu's is frustrating.

Thats another story. Being able to adjust the Predators or Trinitys parameters on the PC would definetly be something I'd like to have. Big difference between that and CMR though.

Yes I agree,, you mike, would deffinately blow your shit up,,,,, lol

Seriously, the difference between the stock tune and most of DS's tunes is very little. 95% of the PCM isn't touched. Its not hard to figure out as long as changes aren't drastic. The most common of the more complicated tunes would be for adding forced induction to a NA engine especially one with electronic throttle.

Damn straight I would. Thats why I wouldn't even try. I have the worlds best Hemi Tuner in my backyard, why would I risk doing shit myself?

I want to look at my custom tune settings

Mike,
I want to look at my custom tune settings which is in a .frg file. Is the CMR software required to do this? Is there another way that I can view this file on my computer? Of course being able to make educated adjustments to the settings would be awsome.

Thanks
I'm LowGear
and now you know.

you need the CMR software to look at the actual tune files...

there is nothing else that will open those proprietary tune file formats...
