I am ready to pull the trigger on a Trinity but I need to clear up a few things.
#1 My 09 SRT8 Challenger is far from stock. Heads, cam, headers, and on. I had it all installed and custom tuned so my "factory tune" is pretty much useless. The tune I run now (thanks to Johan for a middle of the night tweak to make it run right) would be considered the "original backup" since my factory tune will never be reinstalled. Correct? I would think the original factory tune is useless to me at this point and while I do have a copy of it on my PC and Predator it really is as usefull as Windows 3.1
#2 Will the Trinity monitor my auto trans temp?? If not can I use the analog input for that function and has anyone else done so and how?
#3 If I read the manual right I can use the Trinity for data logging to provide feedback to my tuner for any tweaks to optimize performane instead of having to use a laptop with the predator??
Before I ditch my predator I have a 3 questions.

The original backup will always be the factory tune. My truck won't run on the stock tune either, but its still the original backup. You can't save a CMR tune as your backup
The Trinity isn't able to monitor the tranny. Eventually they'll add TCM support and it will, but don't hold your breath

You'll restore the stock tune, then load the custom tune to the Trinity and flash it to the car.
It does not see trans temp currently, but yes, you could use an analog input to do so.
Yes, you could log tons of data to the Trinity and email the logs to the tuner.
