cannot return my srt4 to stock tune....please help

Hello all

i have an 05 srt4 that i installed the 93 perf tune on and now im trying to return it to stock. I took all of my parts off and im selling all parts and the car. When i try to restore to the stock tune it tells me. Unable to restore stock tune at this time or something similar to that.

I have not had the car to the dealer nor have i updated the tuner since i first installed the tune on the car.

Please any help is appreciated.

Go to show last tune written in the options menu. Make sure the stock tune isnt already on the car..

Options/show last tune written, what does it say?
Then hit continue, and see if the VIN and Calid listed there match your car.

ok sorry for the delay

last tune is shown as the 93 perf tune

and the vins match

shutdown and redid twice just to make sure i read everything correctly.

Do you have a turbo timer, aftermarket alarm or any other third party electronics in the car?

nope. the only electrical mod i did what so ever was install a wideband. i wouldnt even call that an electrical mod but thats it.

Out of the blue...make sure the e-brake is pulled before you turn the key on.

i like the way you think.

so when you go to restore the backup you get that error message right away? or does it go through the key on/key off cycle?

yes the e-brake is on. i never really park it in gear. all flat in my driveway.

scg- it goes through all the bells and whistles, shows it loading back to stock. then comes up and says its unable to do it. tried 3 different days a few times a day. im baffled. kinda sucks if i have to eat this thing. it shows the last tune as the 93 perf tune and all that good stuff. for some reason it just will not return it to stock.

here is my theory.

ive read that sometimes when applying a tune it has an error or corruption in the tune and everything looks good but just doesnt run right or car wont start. my theory is that when i backed up my stock tune it was corrupted and now that im trying to reapply it wont let me because it is currupted.

im not rocket scientist but that is my theory. in any event i would be stuck with the tuner and stock with the perf tune on the car.

No, why do you keep going there?

The tool is under warranty for 2 years, worst case would be fill out an rma request and send it in to be tested.
