Predator/Puck Perfromance vs Stock Numbers
So, this morning I ran the truck on the G-Tech RR.
-Stock tune, exhaust mod, BOOSTED LAUNCH
0-60mph 8.02sec
1/8mile 10.47sec @ 70.87mph
-Stock tune, exhaust mod, intake mod, truck cap, BOOSTED LAUNCH
0-60mph 8.37sec
1/8mile 10.48sec @ 67.37mph
-Diablo Performance/Stacked Tune, intake mod, exhaust mod, truck cap, 285/70/17 Tires, NON Boosted launch
0-60mph 6.87sec
1/8mile 9.98sec @ 75.07mph
The only issue with doing a boosted launch in the performance tune would be that after the truck had moved ~6ft it spun the tires for the next ~15ft. I would need to launch it in 4x4 (even harder on the tranny). I bet with a 4x4 launch in the performance tune I could easily be in the low 6’s!
Until I get the tranny built I am plenty happy with the performance tune!

Holding your foot on the brake and bringing the rpms and boost up and then leaving the line like that in 4WD. You won't get a lot of boost but it's better than leaving at idle. It is amazing how quick your truck will leave the line but you will break an output shaft eventually. A billet output shaft will fix that problem but it runs about $700 or so...

Thanks Dodgezilla!
I have a lot of questions and until now the only person I could ask was my son, who owns a 250 Ford Diesel with some mods. He constantly dogs me about my Dodge. Frankly, he needs to be taught a lesson!
I bought the Predator with PP thinking I could get more out of the Dodge than what the Superchips would give me. They only go 100HP on my auto. I want more. Need I say I am now addicted? Now I am afraid I'm going to fry or break something. The only mod I currently have is an Airraid intake. My son keeps harping on me to go to a 5" Turbo back exhaust to run cooler. I have Isspro Gauges and the pyro is pegging at 1500 when I get on it for more than a few seconds, which I them immediately back off of it. This was with the Superchips. I have yet to install the PP and Predator. It arrives on Monday. Will a new exhaust really reduce my EGTs by a considerable amount and allow me to stay on it? I have also read about the Quadzilla Boost fooler. I See you have one. Did it reduce your EGTs?
All of this is really being done so that when the day comes that I am lined up with my son, I smoke his arse! He's too cocky as it is! He has chipped his and claims he will leave me standing still. I want to do all I can to make sure that this does not happen. He does not have as much money to put in his truck as I do.

I have a 5" exhaust and my egts never exceed 1350. I have a dry nanofiber 4091 filter from amsoil for the intake and a quad boost fooler. 1500 is way too high and will literally melt the insides of your turbo. mainly it will cook the oil that lubes the bearings. This combo will (with no offense to your son of course) roll coal all over his powerjoke. Also, another option for now until you can get the exhaust, is to straight pipe it. cut out the mufler and cat if its there and weld in some pipe. with just those gone i guarantee you will see a drop of at least 100 degrees in egt's. The superchips is VERY mild compare to the options with the predator/puck stack. The extreme will leave most anybody. But i run the performance tune (for mileage) and flip the puck to 90 when i want some hellacious giddy-up.

I just went with a muffler delete and the rest of my exhaust is stock. Your truck came with a 4" system from the factory and you don't really 'Need" 5" but it doesn't hurt anything. My temps don't exceed 1300 degrees with my current combo. The boost fooler will get you more psi without setting overboost codes. Even without it I could hit 40psi with the stock turbo. The fooler is very inexpensive and works well. I'd recommend one. Unless your son has some super high power chip then I'd venture to say that you will smoke him if you guys line up and you are on one of the higher settings on your Predator...
Start saving for trans mods though. Same for him if he drives like most of the young guys these days. None of these diesel autos can handle the awesome torque the modded diesels make...

oh definately, forgot to mention that. My friends told me to just clamp it off and it should be fine and CHEAP. but i wanted the adj. elbow and low and behold i have it torqued all the way in so i could've just clamped it off. with that and the fooler i am seeing boost of 38 psi. when i'm in it hard.

You "NEED" a better turbo as I'm sure you are aware. I had my current turbo on my 03 and I was pushing 45 psi on that truck too. It sure gives a lot more top end power. The 03 turbo is just not the best unit for performance.
