2005 mustang gt check engine light on. cat codes
i have a catless x-pipe on my o5 gt and how do i take care of them so that they dont keep poping up? where would io find a tune or can you guys help me?
RE: 2005 mustang gt check engine light on. cat codes
MIL eliminator is one way. There might be a way to turn off the rear o2 sensors so that they don't detect the harmful gasses getting through with a tuner, thought I saw something like that in the tuner.
But MIL eliminators for sure..but if you have the tuner already and there is a way, then of course that's a cheaper conclusion.
I wouldn't recommend the second one myself though, because I do not tune cars..so I would wait on someone to reply for that way..something to research though.

MIL Eliminators work fine, but the problem is finding them anymore. If you decide to do a custom tune, contact me through the links below and I can help.

You can't really use MIL Eliminators on 05+ Mustangs. They don't work on all the New Edge cars let alone the S197. They might work on your car but I wouldn't waste money on something that is about a 1 in 100 chance of working for you. There is a slight chance it could work since it's a 2005 instead of a later year, but just get a custom tune to fix it.
Just about every single Mustang owner knows American Muscle carries MIL Eliminators, so I don't know what's so hard about finding them. The application is more for 96-04 Mustangs though because Ford changed the voltage reading coming from the O2 sensors on the newer Mustang.
