NEED HELP! i just bought the Diablosport Predator u7135

i have the Diablosport Predator u7135 for my hemi charger! i love it but i want to get the most out of it i heard you can buy a 180 thermostat but what will that actually do can someone help? and what else can i do to get the most of the predator? so far my mods under the hood are k&n cai and predator and straight pipe exhaust what else can i do beside headers, performance cylinder heads, and performance camshaft? i heard the body spacer is a waste of money. can someone help me out thanks!

Once you start playing around with the Predator, and start running logs, you will see where it needs to be tweaked. It will take a while to get it all dialed in, but it's worth it. You need to get a catch can, and a 180 t-stat( runs car at cooler temps=more power)for now. I have heard the same thing about those spacers so I never bought one. And then move on to header and a cam... maybe even a supercharger! Have fun!

Catch cans catch the oil mist in the pvc system before it gets into your throttle body and intake manifold. It's a MUST for the 5.7 and 6.1 hemi. The design of the new hemi engines incorporates an oil lubrication system for the cylinders/pistons that tends to get sucked into the intake manifold. If this oil mist gets into your intake, it causes performance problems (among other things). They are easy to install and a good one runs anywhere from around $100. to $150. Just be sure you don't pinch off the hoses on the bends.

You can waist your money on a host of so called performance items. Very few actually live up to their advertised claims.

If you really want to get the most performance out of your car for your money, then quit buying the gadgets and save your money for a twin screw supercharger. They're expensive, but the HP gain far exceeds anything else out there (and they really deliver). Most of them utilize the predator tunes and you gain around 40 percent HP (REALLY), even with a stock engine, and the street drive-ability is awesome.

After years of reading after market user reviews on mods, I myself, have decided to quit wasting my money and save for the one thing that will turn my ride in to a true super car.... a Twin Screw Super Charger!!!

Oh, I forgot about your T-stat question. The 180 t-stat is a worth while investment. It's cheap, easy to install and will help your engine run cooler. With your DSP, you can set your cooling fan temps to work with the cooler t-stat. Mine are set to 185* for the LS and MS fans, and 195* for the HS fans. Our cars have no MS fan, so you need to set the MS the same as the LS.

Be sure to go thru all 9 fan settings and set all LS and MS fans at 185*, and all the HS fans at 195*. After this you will hear your HS fan cycle from time to time, but that's normal.

If you want to keep the intake clean and get max performance it is a must. The car will run good with out it but the intake will get dirty and will degrade performance. Most people who buy the 5.7 will not want one because you need to empty it every once in a while. Its not had to install or clean. If you are crazy about your Hemi you will want a catch can.

You can buy one right here, and you install it by plumbing it into your PCV system.
