Unit will not power up when plugged into car

Unit will not power up when connected to the vehicle. I even tried a new cable. This started after an on line update to 1r06 was performed. The last time it connected to the vehicle it told me I need to update the car. I connected it to DSDL and it downloaded a DCX update. That was the last time it would talk to the car. It still powers up by the USB port though. This unit has already been sent in once before for a problem not booting up when connected to the car.

Does your Trinity cable connect on both sides? (if you pull on it does the left side connector come out?)

I had the DCX tune in the car already. When I got the Trinity I returned the car to stock using the Predator and then put the Depot tune in the car using the Trinity and left it hooked up and it was attached to the windshield with the suction cup. After a few days I did some data logging. I pulled the unit out, looked at the logs, then decided to try re-updating the Trinity with the latest CROM thinking that might fix the parameter issue. I needed to put the car back to stock first and when I hooked it up to the car that is when I got the new update required notice on the Trinity. It let me put the car back to stock, I downloaded the Chrysler update through DLDownloader and that was the last time it talked to the car. I already had the new cord and didn't have any issues with it.

just for shits and giggles, check your fuses for the obd port in your car...

it's usually the cig. lighter or aux. power port fuses that also control power getting to the obd port.

The predator still works in the port so it has something to do with the update that was applied to the unit. Should i just request a RMA ?
