Hemi idle issue

I've got a recurring issue with my '07 SRT8 Jeep where the in-gear idle speed will fall off when operating on closed loop with the AC off.

When I come to a complete stop the idle will remain steady at 700 and after a couple of seconds, it'll drop down into the 575 range where it will remain until barely touch the accelerator or put the trans in Nuetral. It will then jumps to 700 and stays there until the next stop. On occasion, placing a load on the engine like turning the steering wheel will cause idle to drop below 500-550 where the computer will catch it and bump it to 700 on its own. Any time the compressor runs (AC or defrost) idle is at 700.

I've taken the Jeep to the dealer and they replaced the throttle body for a different issue. I hoped that it would clear it with that, yet it continues to do it. I've even checked for vacuum leaks to no avail.

I recently purchased a Predator and am awaiting its arrival. My questions concern the Predator's ability to adjust idle speed.

1. To those with other Hemi engines (5.7 or 6.1), what is your in-gear idle speed?

2. Have you experienced anything similar to what I am?

3. Do the canned-Predator tunes affect idle tuning at all?

4. Does it sound like raising the idle speed with the Predator would solve my issue?

The Predator can raise or lower idle 600 rpm.

Idle in Neutral A/C On
Idle in Neutral A/C Off
In Gear A/C On
In Gear A/C Off

are the areas you can adjust. So bump your setting 150 rpm and you'll be set.

I'm hoping that does the trick. Have you seen other Hemi's with low idle-speed?

It is a typical Hemi issue. I have an '06 Ram that does the same thing. I thought it has to do with the MDS (though I don't know if your has it...).
