Hey Guys; I'm considering a ZEX safe shot product. I have a couple of concerns, 1st I have a small space for the bottle. What are the measurements for the 5 lb bottle? Will the system work with a 2 or 2.5 lb bottle? If so what are their measurements? with the 35hp jets how many seconds will you get per pound? 2nd, the 2009 ram has a rubber intake pipe from the factory airbox to the throttle body intake. VERY close to the Throttle body is a sensor inserted in this rubber intake pipe. Is the nitrous nozzle installed before (closer to the airbox) this sensor? if so how many inches back? Can i safely mount the nozzle in a rubber intake pipe? As the Truck has only 5k miles My idea is to remove the bottle, solenoid and hose that connects the bottle to the solenoid before returning the truck to the dealer for service. I am also planning on purchasing an extra rubber intake pipe and if needed sensor from the dealer. that way i can just unplug the sensor and remove the intake pipe with the nozzle installed and replace it with an unaltered intake pipe before returning the truck for warranty service. I realize there will be a couple of wires left under the hood that connect to the solenoid and a couple of switches inside the cab but these shouldn't pose a problem with the dealer. Does this plan sound reasonable? Finally I really don't want to have to turn the bottle on and off all the time and i doubt there will be room for a remote bottle servo. On average how long would a solenoid last if it was left pressurized all the time and if the solenoid failed would it allow the nitrous to flow into the intake or vent it to atmosphere under the hood?
I'm very sorry for all the questions but I really need answers to all of them to be able to make a decision
I don't mind paying for the safe shot kit as well as a couple of smaller bottles that will fit in my location as well as any other products you think will help me achieve my goal of an easily removable "Dealer warranty friendly" Dry nitrous system.
Thanks
