I have a 2003 chevy silverado with the 5.3 that is basically a play truck and a plowing truck. It has a 4" lift and bigger tires, so I was looking to get a programmer to maybe add a little power and correctly calibrate my speedo for the tire size. I was originally looking at a hypertech programmer since it did the basic functions I needed for $299. I now see that you have the programmer that I need for $299.........My question is: I also have a 2005 GMC Yukon Denali with the 6.0 that is my daily driver and is used to pull my snowmobile trailer in the winter. Will I be able to use that programmer for both vehicles (obviously by taking the tune off one when not in use and putting on the other)? It says that the Diablo will hold 5 tunes. (plow tune and performance tune for my 2003 silverado, and towing and performance tune for my 2005 denali) That would give me the most bang for my buck. Please help make my decision. I will be ordering a tuner in the next couple of days.

TECHS.....please answer somw questions for me.
RE: TECHS.....please answer somw questions for me.
Yes it will work however once you restore the original backup to one car, it will erase the custom tunes. As long as you don't mind reloading to the predator when switching between vehicles, your good to go.

so the tunes will not stay saved on the diablo? I'll have to go to my local diablo dealer to reload my custom tune.? or you mean that I'll have to manually re-add all the set parameters between each vehicle? What does it mean when it says the diablo will hold 5 tunes?
for instance...I had dodge ram at one time with a superchips programmer. I would install a program, then take it off before I went to the dealer, then re-install and re-set parameters when back from shop. I'm assuming I'll be doing the same with the diablo between the 2 vehicles. I don't know much about the diablo except it seems more advanced than what I've used before.
My thought was I could set parameters for snow plowing on the 2003 in the winter. Then when not plowing...I could set a performance tune on my 2005 then if I wanted or for towing. Then if I wanted to take the 2003 out wheelin', I could then set a performance parameters for that.

no... when you get a custom tune made, they can also email you a copy of the custom tune file, so that you'll always have it... then you can reload it whenever you need to, cuz you'll have it saved on your pc...
the predator will hold up to 5 custom tunes... the diablo preset canned tunes will always be on the predator, those will not get erased... but the custom tunes will when you restore original backup to a vehicle...
in that case, you would need to re-import the custom tunes into the predator to be able to install them to the vehicle again.
yes, you would need to re-set the parameters for the tunes between the different vehicles, cuz the settings/adjustments needed on vehicle #1 will not be the same as what you may need or want on vehicle #2...
for example, vehicle #1 may need to have its fueling adjusted by -3%... while vehicle #2 may need to be -5% or +2%... so obviously you can't carry over the settings from the 2003 truck tune to the 2005 truck tune...

thanks monte. that's what I thought. Custom tunes are separate from what's pre-installed for each vehicle or pre-set in the programmer. That's all I'm interested in right now anyways. Nothing too fancy. I really just wanted to compensate for my tire size on my 2003, but if I can get a tuner that's compatible with both my trucks......that is PERFECT and I can always do more with it if I want to.
yep... the U7193 will work on both of your trucks... just need to restore the original backup to truck #1 to unlock the predator before you can use it on truck #2...
you'll be all set...
