well i am of the opinion if you put a tuner or power adder on your vehicle you don't deserve warranty. at least on the power train. That said I have put my stock tune back in and retuned a few times and it has never effected the hrs that are recorded on the truck. I have 4000 hrs on my truck which translated to about 32 mph. Seems to be about average. yours does seem pretty low on hrs. that is like 109mph

I don't know why someone would change the hours and not the oddometer I could see changeing the oddometer to a lower number and not the hours but the hours are way too low for the km's. But we did buy the truck used with 30 000km on it and it looked like new just about every where But who knows what happened to the truck befor we got it. Still no response from a tec on the hours being off and the dealer figureing out we have a chip?

The RMA request form works for me here.
What happens when you try to fill it out?

surge, idle fluctuation, Pacbrake issues as well

Post by hasman70 »

Intermittently have a cruise "miss feel". However, I am having a problem with a Pacbrake I just installed where the brake comes on intermittently by itself at idle and after snapping throttle. Tech said possibly TPS problems or needing TPS resetting, He is having me test pin 42 off of ecm to ck for an incorrect ground signal to activate/deactivate exh brake from the TPS causing the fluctuation. Is it possible it is an issue with programming of the ECM and is related to the miss or surge at idle and on cruise with the programmer, and is just more aggrivating with a program installed?? Tried the backup program and I can still see the fluctuation with a test light off of pin 42 that should not be there after throttle snap. Any ideas?

Well I thought that I'd bring this back to the top...

With the cold spell up here in the PNW the lope has returned to my high idle. The truck has a bit of a haze and a strong smell of fuel at start up at around 20*. I'm running the latest update on the eco/ perf setting with my 06.

Just wondering if there are any new developments with this issue?

The lope goes away if you toch the throttle or take the tune completly out of the truck. I've tryed it on all setting but the top ones. I live in northern alberta and it lopes on high idle from around -5 c right down to -45 c. The truck dynoed last summer at 496 hp with the tuner and a cold air intake and 5 inch exhuast, so i'm happy with the power. But this tuner is making me look BAD. I do diesel performance for a liveing my G/f drives/owns this truck so when it doesn't run right I look very bad. Is diablo sport fixing this problem or do I need to get rid of it? Oh yea and I have the last update available from like 2 weeks ago.
I just bought my Predadator U7131 last week, updated it to the latest revision and downloaded the performance/eonomy tune to my 06 3500 dually with a cold air intake and 5" dual stacks. It is doing the same thing when cold. I am in NW Ohio, it has been around 20* during the day and single digits at night. I have been pluging in the block heater every night also. Sounds like it has a huge cam in it when idling! As soon as you put it in gear it goes away. I downloaded the stock tune back into it this afternoon...we'll see what it does in the morning. Really S**ks because I like the performance of the tune when driving it.

I'm having the exact same issue with my 7130 model Predator installed on my early 04 truck. I'm pulling it off this morning to see if it is indeed the Predator programming that is causing this. The truck runs and performs great otherwise but it really sounds bad when high-idling......

Downloaded stock tune back into my truck and the loping idle is gone. Has DiabloSport made any attempt to fix this issue???
I also noticed that my fuel milage has got better since I put the stock tune back in.

Unfortunately for me, my poor idle stayed the same after removing my Predator. I guess I'm glad the programmer is not screwed up but that means I have issues elsewhere......

I'm in the same boat. It only happens when it is 20* or less.

I have 06 dodge drove it a year with no tuner, i bought the U7131 im going into my 3 winter with this tuner it lopes horribly at high idol unless you kick it up to around 1600 then it smooths out.. kinda. so i started tryin it on different settings, same thing, I updated it, same thing, i took it off last winter prob went away. i completly took it off my truck this winter, it still does it. You know guys go buy a smarty i put one on last week 5th setting with advanced timing, and all this bullshit went away runs smooth on any setting no rough jerky idols no loping no missing. They run as smooth as day we picked them up from the dealer. And its pretty bad when the predetor has a ten min load time verses smartys 5 min and its worse that so many of us have (had) this rough idol for so long and they wont do anything bout it.
