GM new software to detect programming modifications
RE: GM new software to detect programming modifications
as long as you restore your original backup stock tune to your vehicle before you go in for any dealer/service work, you'll be fine and won't have any issues...

hey thanks for the quick response.. and not to be a pest but is there any verification!.. i have an 07 escalade and there is a certified 100K warranty on it.. I just don't want to screw that up
RE: GM new software to detect programming modifications
yes, they have been tested... once you restore the original stock backup tune to the vehicle, there is no evidence that it was ever tuned or that anything was done...

RE: GM new software to detect programming modifications
The only think I can think might show up is the reset of codes will be the only one as it will show a few hours indication that either was restored from a tune or a dead battery. But as 06 Monte states it would be very hard to point finger and blame to you if something is really bad and they want to avoid being responsible. Rest assured and every time you head to the dealer for something restore it and if they question you about that than claim a dead battery this morning.
