CMR On windows 7

Post by ChrisN1313 »

Running windows 7 64bit. Whenever I open up a file on the ford side it just locks up and crashes. Is there any special files drivers etc we need for windows 7?

Also I need to get my copy registered. The 2 laptops I had are both broke now and I need to get my copys transfered over to my new computer. Thanks

Yeap yeap... i had this same issue.. There is no way i can make it work for windows 7. Maybe doing an XP-mode we could, but honestly, I haven't tried it. Since my shop pc is an xp machine, i guess i'll keep using that one.

dunno if anyone ever took care of this for ya, since I didn't see any replies to this post... so, I took care of it...

you're all set now and can register CMR with the new computers...

if it WAS taken care of before for ya, then you'll just need to re-reg the software when it starts up and you'll be good to go...

Sorry to bring up an old thread - this is the same problem I'm having. I did try to call the CMR line a few times, thought this might be a better way to get a fix.

Windows 7 64-bit - just installed the CMR downloader and all other suggested programs. Locks up when opening any Ford file.

Thanks! - Cassandra

reinstall the software... make sure your user account has admin permissions and turn of Window's UAC from your user account....
