2003 Dodge Predator Help Pleaze

Post by 5point9 »

Ok, I have obviously been on this board for some time and have ran a predator for even longer. Tried to return vehicle to stock, says tuner not registered to truck? I know the extreme tune is in the vehicle, and it even says so and obviously drives like so, and I know I did so. But, it won't let me write another tune. The calid is correct, but the VIN is lost? It shows ------------- for the VIN #? What happened?
help?

Thanks guys!

did you update the tool with a tune in the truck? I caught myself almost doing that. Not sure what would happen if I did but scared me a bit.

sometimes the dealers do not program the VIN, itis odd, but we see it a lot.

May be a good idea to let the dealer reflash it, fax me proof, then we can unlock it and start over...

the predator does not show trouble codes, but the key on/off trick shows p0602 and p0630 module and vin not programmed error. would this verify what you think? what do I need to tell the dealer? most of them are idiots and I don't want to pay for hours and hours of troubleshooting, I just want the vin programmed and this fixed. what exactly do they need to do? why can't the predator do it? what happened? thanks!

they need to reflash your truck with a stock program. Then once that is done you would need to have your tool reset as Mike stated. And your correct they are idiots, just had a 85 point inspection done on my wifes jeep, got it home and started looking it over my self to fix what they found and they totally missed a leaking front axle seal.
