X2, I want to know if '05's get line pressure adjustment too.

TooCoolHemi wrote:White lightning funny you should suggest that. That happened with the battery charger hooked up.This was the first time i tried loading a tune with it hooked up.No failure screen, the DSP said the tuned had loaded.I didn't realize that something wasn't right till i took it for a drive. At 55 mph the truck was in 3rd gear and wouldn't shift.I let off the gas a little and still no shift.I let all the way off the gas and it finally shifted.Knew something wasn't right so i headed home.On the way there i noticed the clock didn't reset. That told me that the tune didn't load properly.Reloaded the tune (without charger)and everything was back to normal. My question now was it the DSP or the PCM.One or the other seem's to be voltage sensitive.
interesting. how many amps was the charger you used?

I use a 15 amp charger, and if the volt meter gets up to the 1/2 mark, I turn on an interior light or two to keep the voltage just below the 1/2 on the gauge.

Both DSP and our %$&^#@!! Nazi PCMs are voltage sensitive. and our PCM's are temperemental. silverdaytona & me have the SAME EXACT PCM and TCM calid #'s, and 9t07c had trans control on my truck, but not on silverdaytona's. go figure. wtf??

my 2 cents, if your set-up doesn't like the charger, don't use it.

I will continue to use a charger for loading tunes, cuz all my failed tunes have been without a charger, and most of the successful tunes have been with a battery charger.

a few tune loaded right without a charger, but on my truck it was hit-and-miss, 50% chance it would work- 50% chance the tune wouldn't load. real piss-off after it don't work a few times.

I had mine on trickle charge,2amp's.Since this happened i was thinking how to make sure it's getting the right amount of volt's.I was wondering why couldn't you hook up the power cord to the DSP while you load.It make sure the DSP is getting the right voltage.Wonder if this would help?(Mike ?) It dosen't make any sense that 2 truck's with the same calid's don't have the same option's.Download's are all the same,so i'm guessing that's in the handheld.(maybe also voltage related?)It just seem's to me that after the Predetor has been installed and used on the truck we shouldn't have any failed or bad tune download's.

hopefully Mike or Johan will see our questions tomorrow and have an answer.

the way I understand it is:
the truck's battery needs to have a bit over 12 volts for a tune to be properly flashed into the PCM. heard that from a Dodge dealership mechanic.

I think the Diablo tuner is programmed to look for proper vehicle voltage. hooking the power cord to the tuner probably wouldn't help, but I don't know.

Hello, I have been following this thread for a while and am a bit confused still. My truck is a '07 sport with the 5.7. I tried the 9t07d and still shows no tcm calid just pcm. I also read posts saying clock should reset after the flash mine does nothing. Just stays at right time. Is this right or is there something wrong? I am kinda new to this so if I need to post any other info just let me know and sorry if posted in wrong spot.

Found a glitch today with the 9t07d crom, I went to adjust some things and had to reset the truck back to stock (key on when loading). When I went back through and reloaded the tune (without disconnecting it, key in the on position) it did not read the TCM and didn't give me a tcm calid. So I un plugged it from the truck and plugged it back in with the key on to reset the truck back to stock again and it said that the tcm didn't match what was stored on the predator. I went a head with the reset anyways and unplugged it and replugged it in with the key on for a third time and reloaded the tune and it read it fine and gave me a tcm calid...

So it seems that if you just leave it in when you do a reset and try to reload a tune that it wont read the tcm, so you have to unplug it after the reload and plug it back in before it will read it again.

thats because you have an 07 model, and this entire thread was centered around 05-06 trucks which have a seperate TCM module.

Your is an ECM that does the engine and tranny in one box.

Does this mean I should be running the 9r06 and not the 9t07d?

The pressure adjustment you guys are asking about, is for the TPMS sensors, not line pressure.

should not matter, these croms were developed to fix issues with 05-06 trucks, there is nothing different about the 07-up applications.

Mikel,

Just to let you know, I have the new 9t07d loaded in my 6 spd, and it works GREAT! Obviously no trans control, but the tune is working great, loaded first time--no problems.

2005 5.7 with manual trans-----New pedal sensitivity adjustment is great--feels a lot more like the old time carb engines for response now.

mikel - you stat above that the pressure adjustment is not for line pressure, but TPMS. What does TPMS stand for?

I just got my DSP yesterday with the 9ro7 crom.
I updated it and it still says tcm calid not supported.
I tried pluging it in with the key on and off a few times
and still the same. Should I try installing the previous Crome?
