just hook up a switch to your VGT

there is a plug going into the turbo (which has two wires) white and black i believe. take and cut the black one put it on a switch when switch is on so is wire when its off tons of smoke :) hope this helps

BEWARE YOUR EGT's WILL go through the roof if you melt your truck down don't blame me ! also you run the risk of coking your turbo up causing you headaches and sore knuckles later when you need to pull it and clean the vanes

axiom im guessing this switch just kills boost? thus producing all the smoke?. If that's the case I can do that in the tune. There is actually in the programming the ability to run a fixed vgt cycle...so i can make the turbo act like a non variable vane turbo and make it run any duty cycle you want. In the tunes, the smoke limitations are removed however some trucks will smoke, others will not. If what axiom says is true silver, i can probably do it, but like he said, watch your egts, i wouldn't want you melting a piston or two.

yeah the switch just interferes with the VGT actuation thus producing NO boost. the truck will fuel normally which will send EGT's wicked high, the truck will be struggling to get out of its own way and you'll be hated on by bystanders and tree huggers. Black smoke is unburnt fuel and at the prices we pay for the liquid gold its kinda like burning money for no reason. now if you have your DPF on your truck you also run the risk of plugging it up and they aren't cheap.

this type of tom foolery is what the eco lobbyist's jump on pushing Comi-fornia's smog crap farther across yours and my country. the old school guys who are into high strung diesels have been struggling to keep the coal on the strip and pull events instead of young and foolish peoples streets. now if what your asking for is for diesel events and shows then by all means don't take offense to my post. just be sure you keep a good eye on that pyro!

Why would i need that. I would think hp numbers would be that of a geo metro or worse wouldn't it? I believe i'll just wait til the new tune comes out.

problem is silver, he's right. Smoke is unburnt fuel. In order to get it to show smoke, ill have to kill boost. I have tried just killing off some timing to get it to smoke more but to no avail. Im pretty sure most of these smoke tunes are just that, it cripples boost to get it to smoke more.
