Restore to factory tune will there be an issue with warranty

Post by Borntofish42 »

I have to take my 06 6.0l truck in for head gaskets, egr cooler and oil cooler, will there be a finger print left behind or is there a way to clear it?

New parts Ford to install at my cost ARP head studs, bullet proof diesel egr cooler. (Great Ford dealership that understands the 6.0 shortcomings.)

looking for an answer over the weekend from these guys is gonna leave you high and dry.....

return the truck to stock and take the rest of the weekend driving it around babying it. if they look to see when the program was accessed last you'll be up shits creek but if they just look at key cycles you might be able to get by.

Still waiting for the Predator team's reply? Maybe they do not know the answer!

No, there is nothing left behind for them to see after you restore the stock calibration.

Thank you Mike, now I need to beg and plead with Ford not to reflash my truck while it is there. Don has gotten me some great custom tunes that I do not want to loose.

I would love to but..... this repair is warranty and they are willing to replace the factory parts with my after market parts. due to the truck having only 2k left on the 100k warranty.
