Quick question, if anyone knows?
I am guessing Diablo doesnt make a smaller adapter or cable that plugs into the Trinity, from the truck? Not the right angle OBD2 end of the cable, but the smaller end that plugs into the unit it self. It looks like a Ipod dock end cable.
I'm tring to mount it with a little less profile, so it doesnt sit up so high and the cable isnt seen as much. Would be great if the cable came out the back, but it doesnt.
I am guessing they dont, but can anyone tell me if the port into the unit is a 30 pin? If so, would a smaller unversal right angle 30 pin adapter work? Or is it something totally different?

I agree. The cable hanging out the bottom makes a clean install almost impossible.
I plan on using the pod mount for the Trinity. Problem is it will still have that cable sticking out the bottom. It would be nice if there was a right angle plug for the connection at the Trinity. The connector on the back must be used during manufacturing or some kind of hardware test port.

I've been saying that since BETA. Whoever decided that was a good place to put the connector should have his nuts cut off. The rear connector is a serial hookup for "future" use....... yeah, right.

If you have a OBDII cable and soldering skills, head on over here: http://www.chargeconverter.com/shop/ and make your own cable. That's what I did. Unfortunately I was too afraid to try it in my Trinity since I didn't want to wreck it even though I was 99% sure I had everything right. I just used two AA batteries and an LED to figure out which pin on the OBDII side went to which pin on the Trinity side.
I ordered a "T" and a "TN" from that site, and they seemed to be of good quality. Anything smaller than those didn't appear to have the tabs to hold it in, and that didn't seem to me like a good idea. I believe the "F" is what DS uses and "A" is what the beta cables used.

I wanted to put my trinity in a pod also but the cable blocke the other gauge . . .
