Gauges on my 2009 duro trinity

Post by honda_man_300ex »

Hi. I've got a 2009 silverado that i've installed a trinity on. I've made myself a set of gauges but they don't seem to read right to me. My understanding is that with the lmm motor you have egt sensors installed to start with so i tried the egt 1 and 2 and both read numbers in the 2000-7000 range? also it has a regen status so i set it up and it says false on that gauge. and one more quick question. unless i send it back to the main screen after i shut the truck off it will not shut down(go into a screensaver mode). thanks alot for the help. I love the canned tunes for what i'm doing. I just added dpf back exhuast, AFE cold air blade runner and turbo tube upgrade. if i was to in the future need offroad tunes for a dpf delete is that something i can have custom tuned.

I'll look into the EGT PIDs, should be a simple fix.
Do you have any aftermarket electronics that may be keeping the Trinity awake after you shut the truck off?

i have a radar dector plugged up that i never turn off??? i guess it works off voltage? i'm really wanting the gauges working. that's why i bought this programmer vers. another brand. and i think that the egt's maybe right it just doesn't have a decimal point in it to seperate 7550 which would be 755 i woud think? also what's the difference in egt 1 and 2 if ya know. i'm just trying to get some good insite on this thing so i know what i'm looking at. thanks alot!

ok so i watched it for a fact today. My trinity will only hybernate when it is set back to the main menu and will not start back up on it's own you have to push a button to start it which i don't mind but i was under the impression it shouldn't do this. i also read some where about onstar maybe messin with it? i can't see why it would make it only hybernate on the main menu. and on my gauges i watched it go through a regen mode today(man that sucks on the fuel econ) and i was monitoring both egts it shows and i'm sure when it was reading 12229 it was meaning 1222.9 degrees. i'm kinda curious which egt sensor is where??? and the regen gauge is weird to me it just reads true and false when "in Progess" and Not. i thought i would see if there was another unit of messurement as that seems to be what that would be and my trinity just locks up and won't do anything so i have to unplug and re plug it in????? i hope you all can help me out with this. I'm real new to this thing. i used to have an edge juice on my old duro before i got a predator( huge difference in The shift points and firmness) thanks for the help

Im going to look into adding more DPF specific pids for the LMMs.

The freezing up issue is already fixed for the next revision.

Yes, looks like a decimal out of place, we'll check it out.

i'm sorry if i come off a little rude but your customer service isn't the best i've ever used. i guess i should ask only one question at a time since you don't answer all the questions with one post? i'll ask again. do you know where the egt sensors are placed? a simple no will work but you haven't answered. also my hybernation problem????

The EGT sensors are in the exhaust, not sure exactly where they are, likely one before the DPF and one after.
