Revision updates on U7194

Just bought the diablo and the predator revision is not current. How do I update it. Do i need to have the PC interface. If so, do I have to spend another $35 on the PC interface. I wouldn't expect to have to pay for this since you sent me a out of date diablo.

as long as it supports your vehicle you do not need to update it... the updates are to support new vehicles you might want to think of getting the cable once TCM is supported other than that you should not be concerned

I updated mine and found some of the changable parameters had been deleted and the menus changed. I actually flashed it back to the old CROM.

from a 7194?? nah, no adjustable parameters have been removed from that tool...

the data logging menu and logging parameter menus changed, yes....

but everything that was on the 7194's before, is still in there...

Hey guys can anybody help me out here I have a 2010 silverado and trying to install my Predator with no success do I need to update it with the latest software and if so why is it that it wasn't done when I ordered it since I specified to the dealer I had a 2010 and took time to ask him if it was compatible and he said yes. Is this just a racket to get me to purchase a updater since I only got the Predator and a sticker in the box... Can Anybody help me out here pls.

what's the error message you're getting?

what revision is it on now?? the revision number is at the top of the screen at the main menu...

the resellers/dealers don't generally update the tools before they send 'em out... (unless you buy from concoursdirect.com - they do!)... it's up to you to update it if needed... and yes, you need to buy a usb/serial cable and power adapter to be able to connect the predator to your pc... (or, you could have bought it from marylandspeed.com - they include the cable/power adapter with it!)

the update file, and all the software for the predator, can be downloaded free from 7194 downloads page....

Ok well I have the hardware to update it but I can't seem to be able to get the latest software and update it and as I am writing this I am on hold with tech support can you give me a walk trough on how to update my Predator with the latest version pls.

Actually I have an 07' Z-71 Max that has the 6.0L in it. It is not an HD, they put the 6.0l in the Silverado for 06-07 and called it the Vortec Max. I have not loaded anything since I bought the Predator U-7194 a couple years ago and I just need a little help because I am not to good at this stuff. Thanks.

Hello adain well I managed to dowload the software... But now here is the deal I plug it in the truck and I start off but once it starts working it says I need to download my version from the net and call your 1-800-xxx-xxxx number I am beigining to wounder when I purchased this unit it was a plug-n-play type deal but so far it's been nothing but a huge headach... Pls someone help me out!!!

You probably wont get help from them. They seem to help out when you have a question but they just refer you to there web page. Obvious it didn't help you. Just like how they sent me and you a out dated product. Real nice huh. Now you got to spend more money on the PC adapter to get there screw up fixed. Way to go Predator.
