Unable to backup orig or add custom tune- U7194 07 Avalanche

The DS Downloader connects ok after updating to V9r10 but when trying to get tune file from tool I get "Error backup or last tune not available". There's a prompt to select tune and click ok and I've tried both "original backup from tool" and "last tune written" but I get "there was a failure retrieving the tuen from the tool. The error reported was: 'Please use the 'Performance Tune' menu to read your 'Original backup' before exporting.'."

I checked on the predator for last tune written and it said it was the original.

Trying to put the custom Diablew tune on but get:
custom tune problem. backup missing, erase custom, take a backup, dsdversion: 2.2.1.9 please use 'options' -> custom tune to load or erase the custom tune.

I can send the tune to the tool and it says "Programmer Download was successful". On the predator I show performance tune. from options I try to import and it says imports should be started form the diabloshport downloader.

Maybe it's the new crom? Anyone got an older one I can try?

k... after updating to the new revision 9r10.. you have to use the DSDownloader app... no more E40 PCInterface app... you can uninstall that thing...

and you have to install the current version (2.2.1.9.) of the DSDownloader...

AND, I have to re-do your custom tune for the new revision update and file format... you can not use that old .lan format custom tune file on that new revision you have now...

PLUS - did you install one of the diablo tunes to your vehicle first?? you HAVE to, so that it saves the backup copy of your original backup stock tune file...

it will not let you import a custom tune to the tool unless there's an original backup stock tune saved in it first...

Yep I'm on the right dsdownloader version. No I didn't try to install a diablo tune first. Just did that. Also got your email (dang you're quick). If you could update my .lan file when you get a chance I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

would have been sooner, but had family stuff goin on with wife & kids... so, that came first.. .hehe... well, most of the time
