Corvette Servo in 07' Z-71 MAX 6.0L gas

Post by reredrider »

I put the Corvette Servo in the other day, wow...it changes just a smooth under normal driving conditions. I didnt think it had changed anything until I got in it. It held gear a little bit longer and then it changed in to 2nd and I think I heard the new 33s chirp on the back. Well worth the $30 to wake the beast up some more and it just drives around town better too. Along with the Custom tune, that alomost 7000lb truck is fast.

I'll say Amen to installing the corvette servo. I can chirp the tires with just the canned 87 octane tune that came in the Predator. I'm just waiting to see what happens with a custom tune by Lew.

It's an easy install except for getting that dang snap ring back on. It's the trickiest and hardest part of the install that you need to make sure is done right or you'll blow out all your tranny fluid on the highway. You can get them in a few places like eBay for about $20 including shipping. I got mine from Oregon Performance Transmission.

The servo is located on the passenger side of the tranny behind a heat shield. There's lots of info about the install on a number of GM truck forums. I recommend looking at those sites about the install process. Just search "corvette servo." It would take too long to explain everything here.

I'll say this much about the Predator; it has certainly woke-up my truck and turned it into a beast. The servo simply enhances the experience.

Get it from oregon performance. It is real easy to install just take your time putting it back in and make sure you dont cut the blue ring. Press it in hard a couple times to make sure it seats well and also that is how far you have to have it in to get the retainer clip on at the end. The retainer clip will take you longer that the rest of everything. Just take your time.
Lew will fine tune the wide open shift hit after you put one in.
