Your Fix on TCM Support

If you have a 4L60E/4L65E here is what you can do!!!!
Get a 2-4 Vett-Servo from Sonnax!
Install a Trans-go shift kit!
Go with a 1800-2500 Stall convertor!
This upgrades are better then TCM changes!!! :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

um dont the 4l60's have tcm support? you would still need to tune it when putting all that in a tranny!!! ??

Ok son get on the bus! Cause the bus driver is going to take you to school! Yes, if you don't want to change out springs and valves. You can do a TCM support To have a computer change your pressure with isn't much. When you can buy KITs to Improve your transmission pressure by changing spring and valves Which changes your shifts. A transmission is a big hydro pump. Do you think when GM puts a bigger servo in there trannys they do a TCM change. And a vette servo holds your 2nd and 4th gear about 35% or over your stock servo you have in your truck. In Other words NO you don't have to have TCM support when you do these upgrades!! I can go all day about this!

ooo okkk so i guess circle d and all those other companies that do tranny upgrades just suggest you get it tuned for no reason!??? and i kno what does what and this aint my first rodeo skippy! ya u dont have to but IT WILL NOT LAST AS LONG!!! my buddy with an ss awd had his built 2 times and they all said the same thing he was tearing them up with in 5-8 months yes he has a built 370 but still thats beside the point! were talkn 2000 bucks a pop here! so the third time he took somewhere in texas not sure where but they said you have to have one tuned properly to keep it from killing itself which his was doing!... your right it is a hydro pump! JUST like a motor is a AIR PUMP! you do a cam swap and head work and this and that to a motor and you HAVE TO TUNE IT!!!! oh and hes had the third tranny for 2 years and going strong! so idk minor changes i can see not worring about it but a computer can only adjust it self so much! hey more power to you if you get lucky but i kno i wouldnt ever do it just because of the experience and cash spent my buddy went thru! thats my point!

Dont know who circle D is???? You might have to do a engine tune and pressure flow with tranny fluid and thats it. all the TCM is going to do is hold the bands in a RPM range and tell the tranny to shift! same thing a kit does but with springs. Do you think a turbo 350 or a 400 hell what about a powergluide do you think they need a TCM to shift hard? NO they dont!But had mine like this for 2yrs now and no problems! and if you want to play you have to pay! not sure what a 370 is and when you say awd is that ALL WHEEL DRIVE???? and yes i know when you do a cam swap and head work you have to retune it! Im doing that now. Maybe your buddy just didnt know what he was doing??? Just putting it out there thats why he came to texas to get it fixed . TCM support is for someone. Well like you said that doesnt have the "experience" on doing the upgrade.

Ok tdub09! Not sure what kind of rodeo you been in? But, the Bull instructor is back at teaching again so its time to get off that calf! I talked to Chris Sehorn at Circle-D's today which they are out of Houston, Tx! and this is what he said
"No, it should work just fine. You will have a little firmer 2nd gear shifts. With the Servo and Convertor istallation. But, Going that far with the Trans-Go Shift Kit "might" require a tweak on the tune. But nothing should be undrive-able. You Can do a Trans tune, but maybe just to tweak it."

thats right its still has to be adjusted!!!!!! and the guy i talked to that said they could strengthn my tranny bc its a 6 speed, different, and on my buddys said it still needs to be tuned really good to keep them from going boom thats the exact words from whoever i talked to (been months since i talked to them bout my setup)!!!! he didnt build it shops did btw! and a 370 means three hundred and seventy CUBIC INCHES, he has a built motor in other words!! and yes AWD=ALL WHEEL DRIVE! you sure your an instructor? lol And i kno about paying to play man dont even go there! and old school stuff cannot even be talked about in the same sentence as new school stuff they are so different!!! another point is lets weigh what you spent compared to the 350 tops for a programmer to change some things to make it shift better??? yea your way would be much better but you dont have to act like you kno everything.. mr instructor! if you kno that much should you have something bigger than that baby 5.3? or at least to not buy a texas truck?!!

Hypertech has a TCM support BUT the down fall on Hypertech is you CANT do everything you can do with the DS . But if you want to have this stuff put in your truck I will put it in for you ! Bigger isnt always better. Just wondering if you might be trying to make up for it in other places

NOW ON TO YOU!! lol YOUR gona need all that little engine could!!! however im getting in my longtubes in a week or so there coming ups and got my intake put on yesterday and have some other things but thats top secret! when i get all that done im gona have to redo some logs for lew to tweak it for me.. but when i get my cam, springs, pushrods etc.. ill be getting a dyno tune with tranny support from my dealership just because idk if the handheld plus via internet would do it justice.. sorry lew! but for me thats way down the line like next xmas! haha we race dirt latemodels and modifieds so most of my money goes there! but i got a buddy at uti down there i may have to visit him in the huston area anyway! but its whatever you want, what your truck run? with only lew tune and magnaflow muffler i ran 11.75 at 90 in the 1000ft, we dont have quater mile tracks in arkansas.. but everybody with the same truck around that time in the thousand comes to about a 13.8 in the quater.. so add some power and may have a mid 13 crew cab with just bolts ons to me thats not bad! now add my gears and cam with tranny tuning and lol..

Hey tdub! DS has a new tuner programer that is going to replace the Predator and it will have TCM support for ya!!! it will be up there with the Trinity but close it is called the in-tune it is like a i-phone hell it looks like one! anyways there you go! Do you have a facebook page
