I have experienced the same issue. But my truck has done it since new. I have been told by my tuner that it is a design safety built into the truck by dodge that is part of the Torque management. The tranny is allowed to slip for some reason. Not sure why or if this is true or not but it is what my dyno guy told me last week.
Didn't get to drive on the 001 tune a whole lot this weekend, but even after just a little driving, it seems like it is not as smooth as the 002 tune. I'll try the 001 tune again tomorrow to see if I can reproduce the shaking.
I believe the tunes are specific to one VIN, and they're just based on the 93 tune since that's what I started with. I'd imagine that once the problem is pinpointed, it'll be fixed in all 3 of the tunes.fitter1 wrote:will these tunes work with 91 octane fuel that's the best I can get without having to drive 25-30mins to get fuel?
would like to try one out tomorrow if it will. I'm also going to try my hand at retrieving the tune info off tuner and posting it.
Thanks.
Sorry for the delay man, was out of town for few days.blazingzz wrote:Johan here is my last tune written sorry for the delay alot going on around here too...
Attached is a modified tune for you, please let me know asap so we can get all you guys sorted out, i think this will take care of the issue.

I was able to reproduce the shaking today with my 001 tune. The shaking was most apparent when the engine was cold, I was driving between 30-40 mph, and then hit the gas (medium to full throttle). The shaking was more difficult to reproduce once the engine warmed up, and when it did, it was a less intense shake compared both to when the engine was cold and to previous tunes where the shake occurred.
I plan to go back to the 002 tune tomorrow, and see if I can reproduce the shake with the engine cold like I did today. I don't necessarily expect to get the 002 tune to shake, just hadn't tried to get it to shake with the engine cold before.

I could not reproduce the shaking today, but did not get to test it out too much. I will try it some more tomorrow. I noticed the idle seems a little higher when first coming to a stop, but for some reason it still drops down once i sit there for about 2 seconds at least until I do something to draw some power to get the rpm's to jump back up. That is not my biggest concern. The shifting seems too easy during normal driving and at WOT still. The truck just needs to shift right into the next gear, but it does not. There is a hesitation during normal driving and WOT between shifts. I really wish I could get that shifting my 05 had, is there a reason why it cant. Or will it just take some time from you guys to play and adjust the tune. Thanks, Also like i said I will test out the tune a little more tomorrow.

You can easy force the transmission to make a slipping shift (the shaking) with the Diablo tune loaded. Speed up to 60mph set the electronic gear select in third gear (is second prime) and wait for the rpm drop (torque convector doing it's lockup). Then just floor it and within the first second set the gear select in the second gear. As a warning don't play to much with it... clutch plate 2C is slipping under full load and will burn or maybe break during the condition.
During normal driving this shift is done when cruising in the overdrive gear with 50/60mph. Full throttle then lands in the second prime gear (passing gear) for one a 2 second before shifting back to the real second gear. (a stupid shift since second prime is the perfect gear around 4000rpm with that speed but that's another issue)

Same here... Have a 2010 Ram Hemi 4x4 w/ canned 9r09 93 tune. Noticed this happening after the last update. It was somewhat bearable until yesterday while towing a trailer with about 4000lb on it. Didn't even need to go WOT to force the issue under that kind of load. It was happening under normal acceleration in Tow/Haul mode I guess since gear changes are a bit more eager. I pulled over and de-tuned it as I was afraid the trans was going to explode. All issues went away when de-tuned. I hate to drive the truck without it, but I think I will until it gets resolved.
On another note, I also have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Hemi 4x4 that should use the same tuner. I'm waiting on a tune that will support that, so I can try it out and see if I want to buy one for the Jeep as well.
