U7146 Newest revision v9r09
2002 Mustang GT Auto
When you use the modify stock tune feature, does the tune ONLY change the tune for the changes you make? Because the shift schedule when using this feature seems to be based on the Predator canned tunes that come with the programmer, not the stock shift schedule?
Example: under light throttle I will get the 3-4 shift at around 32mph with stock tune, with Predator tunes and modify stock tune(not changing shift points) same situation 3-4 will be around 36-38mph.
Also, the modify features seem to show the same values when under modify stock tune or modify the Predator performance tune. Is it actually the same, or do they just show the same but it's relative to the tune your on?
Example: Modify stock tune shows 1-2 shift pressure at 20 psi, but when you go to modify the 87 Octane Diablo canned tune it shows 20 psi as well.
Thank you for the help.

Yes, just the changes you make are applied when loading that tune.
I'll have to look into why those params look like that. Have you tried resetting the parameters?

Yes, I did reset the parameters and all tuning options start at the same point and values if you're modifying the stock tune or Diablo performance tunes.
I even restored the original backup and reloaded it to modify stock tune and it still showed the same starting values.

I got a 2002 GT auto, but my car shifts exactly the same with either stock tune, or the diablo tune. The only way I know I have the diablo tune installed, is because at WOT the car shifts harder. I'm also running the 9r09 release.

You can add some part throttle shift firmness if you like.

RE: Modify Stock Tune
Any word on why the parameters look the same when modifying the stock tune or the Diablo performance tunes?

RE: Modify Stock Tune
Because they are modifiers to the tune, not actual values.
