Bonza any more info on the tranny problem?? Ive been on other websites and am finding other guys with the same issue. Some of them are all stock as well. So it seems to be a factory tuning/mechanical issue. Please let us know!

Johan has tried adjusing everything that can be adjusted to work this out, with no positive results, or no feedback at all, so we are running out of ideas.

This is exactly what I was saying in an earlier post. I'm certain that the problem started after my last visit to the dealership when they re-flashed due to recalls. I didn't have the issue before this.

1. I deprogrammed for the service.

2. They re-flashed my truck for some recalls.

3. I reprogrammed and within a few days felt the issue especially when towing a few thousand pounds. Contrast this with towing 8500 pounds with no issues (fully programmed with 93 oct program) before the dealership re-flash some months ago.

4. I deprogrammed and still felt the issue (fully stock) when rolling at around 50 and then going WOT.

I suspect this is why none of the troubleshooting from DS has had any fruition. DS, Do you guys see any tickets called in or have anything on the forums from before Aug 2010 regarding this issue? I suspect not.

I'm a third-level Tech Support supervisor in charge of 5 people and 2000 users. Troubleshooting and trending issues is what I do. If I was the only one experiencing this, then I would suspect that it was just my truck and it needed something fixed on it. But what I'm seeing (and it looks like Sbarbs is too) is that other people are having this issue even while running totally stock.

So to me 2+2=4, where one 2= issues with multiple trucks even when running stock, the other 2= no amount of troubleshooting from DS can fix the issue. 4= somethings wrong with the factory programming and DS is forced to build a performance program on a flawed foundation.

I'm calling Dodge today and ask them about the last flash they did and what could be the issue with the trans. I'll let you guys know what they say.

I hope everyone had a great holiday! Mikel, does diablo have the capability of reprogramming the transmission shift patterns? Even it the stock program is flawed, can't you guys "rewrite" the program so it shifts and downshifts properly? I wonder if the superchips tunes are having the same problems. As of right now, I'm leaving my truck with factory program cause I fear ruining my truck when it shifts like this. I hope a fix is found!

Good catch...no, I see nothing prior to that date in any of our Trac tickets or here on the forums.

Dodge wants me to bring the truck in for advanced trans diags. I can't do this until early next week. I'll post whatever they find.

I had my 08 Ram act up on a modified stock tune for the 1st time last night. Only changes I made to the stock tune were turning off MDS and increasing throttle sensitivity. It seems as though the problem may arise when the throttle sensitivity is increased too much (I had it maxed out). I'm curious to see what you guys find out with your 09-10 Rams. Thanks in advance for the updates.

With no feedback at all how about looking back at ten pages worth of feedback... Thats a pretty crappy excuse when there is ten pages to back it up. As far as holidays Id like to get the holiday time you guys do I think the last post from someone from diablo on the forum related to this topic is on dec 14th.... so who is the one not doing a good job with feedback.

What I would like to know is can we get a refund since there seems to be no fix in the near future.

the quality and content of the feedback are just as important, if not more important, than the quantity of feedback. This issue is obviously not a simple one, so it shouldn't be much of a surprise to learn that the basic feedback of "The truck shakes when I do this" that most of us end users (myself included) can provide is not sufficient to find and fix the problem. Taking the truck in to a transmission specialty shop, or at least some place with the appropriate tools and expertise to properly diagnose transmission problems (like Majefski is doing) will likely produce much better feedback, and hopefully shed some light on what needs to be done to fix the problem.

Continually whining that DS won't write you a custom tune exactly the way you want it, exactly when you want it, and for free, is less than helpful. If you go back and read through this thread, you might notice a correlation between the level of effort and understanding from users, and the responsiveness of the staff to that user. I know I sure wouldn't want to put forth any extra effort to help someone that kept telling me that I was doing a bad job. And criticizing people for taking vacation during the winter holiday season is ridiculous. You do realize that it's people, not HAL, that work for DS, right?
