Six weeks since there has been an official reply.....
This thread started at the beginning of the year....
Everything I want to do to my Cavalier is held up until I can reprogram the computer.
Of course, I could spend a year tweaking HPTuners, but doing that much time/research, I'd just get rid of the car.

I agree, Im thinking the same thing. The cobalt s/c if fun and all but I need some tuning. And would much rather spend the money for a predator, and learn about this car, than spend it at a shop and have to keep going back.

Are you guys waiting to reply until after SEMA?
Just a quick reply to say if there's been progress....of if the project has been stalled....or if you're telling the ecotec community to go pound sand....

Just need to know if there is reason to keep hope alive.

Guys, there have been no recent updates regarding this platform, but it is still up on the top of the list.
We need to catch up on the 08 truck stuff first....

Thanks

Thanks for responding. It's reassuring that the project hasn't been left for dead.

SCT bailed on the e16a, so Diablo is now the last hope and runner for a corner on the outta-warranty outta-financing 2.2L ecotec market. although as SCT actually did a tune for Garrett for the e16a, something tells me that it's going to be a project Diablo doesn't take on, like everybody else.

I can always hope i'm wrong though. but come a year or so from now when my car's fully paid off, i have every intention of getting rid of it if there is no ECM tuning available :(

I'm definitely interested in an Ecotec tune for my 2.4l '07 HHR. Looks like HPTunes supports this engine, but it sounds like you've gotta have a PhD to do anything with it. I'd much prefer a Predator tune with predefined options... :D

Post by justasheet »

Please hurry with a tune for my 2006 Pontiac Solstice 2.4l ecotec. Use my car as a guinea pig. I live right up the street in Boynton Beach.

Guys, i would not say that we are abandoning anything.
Our newest employee here came straight from GM, and his last job there was to develop calibrations for the Ecotec applications, so he is more than 'familiar' with the inner workings of these PCMs.

He has expressed interest in working on this application, and I would guess that once he finishes his current projects, this will make it to his hands.

Thanks
