shift points, 08 F350 adjusting parameters

Post by rayconway »

Hey guys,

anyone have any luck changing shift points on U7164 for 08 F350. I believe that I have either 410 or 373 rear gears, and I am through 4 gears inside 35 MPH. I'd like to spread that out a bit and try to reduce RPM's at cruising speeds of 65-70 mph (if that is possible).

I have not played around with adjusting parameters and need a little help here.

Many thanks,

Ray

Im not sure about the shift points either, I would like to run the 160hp tune but cant stand having my teeth jerked out of my head every time it shifts. The 80hp tune is so much better with the shift pressures, but I cant figure out what the settings are.

Mike,

Calids: Version 9r12A:

Unit 1. 8U7A-14C204-CG
Unit 2. 7U7A-14C337-AB.

Currently on 80 HP tune. Find that gives me a little better economy than the extreme. Still...shift pattern goes through 4 gears inside 35 MPH. Cruising at 65-70, turning 2500-2800 RPM. Would like to spread the range out a bit more.

Thanks,

Ray

MikeL,

you have any updates or ideas on this? Are we talking about a custom tune?

Thanks,

Ray
