CANT LOAD TUNE FROM PC TO TOOL

I have tunes on my computer, one of which is the original back up and it is not recognized by to tool. The file has a CROM extention. When I open the downloader tool on the desk top, go to advanced, send tune file to tool, the browse window opens but there is no option to find files with the CROM extention. The file types to search for (file type) are limited to frg, frd, drg, drd, grg, grd, lan, 2cl and crg.
Do I need to convert the CROM ext to one of the other file types to load it to the tool? how do I do this?

.crom is not a tune, it is an update for the operating system on the Predator.
tunes have .drg, .frg, or .grg extensions.
