RE: Re: RE: ETA
Don't think it's the pcm.I think it's something in the crom or tool. The option showed up once then never again. Our pcm #'s are the same. The last letter is the latest calid # i'm guessing,i started with a C as the last letter. Our tcm # are the same except the last letter on mine is a B.(this is from when i first got the DSP)Not sure though, the tool is not showing a tcm calid just the pcm.Maybe this is the problem? Dose your's show both pcm & tcm calid's when selecting show calid?
RE: Re: RE: ETA

RE: Re: RE: ETA
Thank's for posting that Chris. That is what is happening to me.(even though it only showed up once) Was this still happening using crom 9r09? Mike's post in that thread might be the problem?..........Mike when selecting Show Calid should there be both PCM and TCM calid's shown? (being the pcm and tcm are seperated now)
RE: Re: RE: ETA
no prob. although i dont use the predator for tuning any more, i'll plug it in just to see what comes up with it on 9r09 (or does not).

Re: RE: Re: RE: ETA
yes, my Predator shows both PCM & TCM calid #'s. since you aren't seeing a TCM calid #, the tuner is not communicating with the TCM.TooCoolHemi wrote:Don't think it's the pcm.I think it's something in the crom or tool. The option showed up once then never again. Our pcm #'s are the same. The last letter is the latest calid # i'm guessing,i started with a C as the last letter. Our tcm # are the same except the last letter on mine is a B.(this is from when i first got the DSP)Not sure though, the tool is not showing a tcm calid just the pcm.Maybe this is the problem? apparently '05 Ram TCM cal ending in "B" is not properly supported by the Predator yet.
also, with 9r08 & 9r09, when you download the "original Backup", you should get a 40k PCM file and a 140k TCM file from an '05 Ram.

Cool.Curious to see what you find.Chris's i have tcm option's when first loading a tune, after that there gone for good. You might have to load a tune and go back in to make a tcm adjustment to see if it's there.

W/L forgot about my file's on my PC.After checking,Yes our calid #'s are the same.I wanted to say i should show a tcm calid when selecting Show Calid. So that's the problem.Thank's for the info W/L.
Chris's if you do try and get no tcm option's go to Show Calid and see what you find.
Mike your thought's on the current post.

RE: Re: RE: ETA
if it cant get TCM calid it is due to the tool not being able to talk on the SCI bus, we are investigating.

RE: Re: RE: ETA
Thank's Chris appricate your help.I'm not sure why mine is not seeing the tcm.On 9r03 i never had a problem. The tcm option was alway's there loading a canned tune or custom tune.Even when just going back in to make an adjustment.Got to be something in the tool or crom.Maybe the downloading of the crom or tune on to the truck.Guess i'll start over and update to the newest crom and see what happen's.

RE: Re: RE: ETA
Mike i got some info. for you.I tried to upgrade my crom yesterday.Got a error message saying i can't downgrade from 9r09 to 9r10.(WTH) Called and talked to Vas and found out there are 2 9r09 crom's.I had the older one so he sent me the newer crom so i can update to 9r10.Got the later version of 9r09 and deceided to give it a try. When i returned to stock i found that i now had pcm and tcm calid's in show calid.Loaded in the base 93oct tune and deceided to do my tcm adjustment's with it.Load went fine, checked to see if i had tcm and pcm calid's before unhooking the tool. Both still there.Went to the PC and loaded the custom tune in the tool.Went back to the truck loaded the custom tune and found i had no tcm option's only pcm.Checked show calid after the custom tune load and before unhooking the tool and it's showing only a pcm calid.I try to be careful when hooking and unhooking the tool to the truck. But deceided to try Chris's suggestion to wiggle it.This did not help but in the process of playing with the tool i discovered the tool is not seeing the tcm and found a solution to make it work. Here's what i found. If you go to check calid before loading a tune you will have pcm and tcm calid's.Once you load the Diablo tune and unhook the tool then go back and hook it back up and try to make an adjustment or load a custom tune you will not have tcm option's.I found that if when you first hook up the tool (after loading base tune)to make an adjustment or load custom tune, if you go directly to Diagnostic's and get the tool to show you the calid both will be there. Then back track and load a custom tune you will have the option to select a tranny tune.I select the modifed stock tune, don't think you get tcm option's when selecting your proformance tranny tune. Then when you go to modify tune you will have pcm and tcm option's.Tried this 5 time's and it worked every time.So it's pretty obvious that the tool is not seeing the tcm calid unless you ask it to show the calid.Something is happening to cause this when the canned tune is loaded.I was running the proformance tranny tune so this may have something to do with the problem.(Not sure) Mike why would going to show calid before trying to do any adjustment's or custom tune load make it work properly?
