what is this "throttle boost" that i'm hearing abo

can someone please explain what "throttle boost" does and if its available on 6 speed challengers? this is new for 9r28l, right?

Im curious what it does. Maybe increase sensitivity of the TPS?

It increases throttle sensitivity = no throttle lag.

Its only available on the Trinity at this point. Not sure if they plan on filtering it down to the Predator.

Throttle Boost was introduced in Predator u7135 9r28.

You can get it for the U7135 in the 9r28 crom. You can also request it from diablo by posting up your last tune written and getting it changed by Mikel or johan. If you have an older predator you will not be able to down load 9r28 because its to big a file.

i ordered my predator last summer. will that be able to accept it?

and can someone please tell me if this will work on the 6 speeds too? some guys are claiming they dont have the option with their 6 speed. probably user error, but i would like someone to confirm.

I can't use 9r28. I need the "l" version. Guess I need to bother Mike for it.

ok, now i'm confused. i just realized there is no "l" version listed on the download page and it says there is no changes made to the tune, just internal changes.

why is throttle boost not mentioned?

throttle boost is same as throttle sensitivity adjustment in earlier Croms. my truck has had it for several months, starting with U7137 Crom 9t06d.

Croms with a letter at the end are beta Croms.

The "l" CROMs aren't Betas. They're Limited. The early u7135s cannot handle the larger file sizes of the newer CROMs. The limiteds have a smaller file sizes. No idea what the functional differences are.

you're right, my bad. "l" for Limited Croms on u7135's. no clue on functional differences either, but a smaller file may not have room for features like "throttle boost".

I hope it does have throttle boost, it's a neat feature. especially for heavy trucks & suv's that need an extra kick to get 'em moving.
