2004 F650 C7 cat Problems

Post by xsvn2o »

I have a 04 F650 with a c7 cat . I installed a M2010 , The truck will not go over 45MPH with the puck installed but runs fine without it . There are no check engine lights on . The instructions do not clearly state which plug goes to the map sensor or the fuel sensor . I tried it both was with the same result . , Just a note the wire harness plugs were defiantly used . They were not new . Also with the knob turned all the way to the right the truck will not start . There in nothing I could find in the instructions that even indicated what to do with the knob . It only says to mount it on the dash . I assume turning it clockwise turns up the power is this correct ??

the middle plug would be fuel and the end plug would be MAP.

clockwise makes more power, all the way to the left is off.

mikel, can you verify this?

"the middle plug would be fuel and the end plug would be MAP. "

That contradicts your post from 01/05/2009.

I just don't want to plug it up wrong and fry anything.

Thanks

Title: "Extreme Power Puck installed on a Cat C7 engine"

https://www.diablosport.com/index.php?n ... ight=m2010

Also in Title: "Wiring instructions for M2010 powerpuck for cat motor" 11/26/2008

https://www.diablosport.com/index.php?n ... ight=m2010

MaxDiabloSport says that the blue and white wires go to the fuel pressure sensor. Those are on the end, not the middle.

Again, I just want to get it right the first time so I don't hurt anything.

Thanks in advance for your help.

There are occasionally variations, but it looks like in this case the MAP is in the middle.

you wont hurt anything if its wrong, it just wont start ;)

Also, do you have any info on the dial? I'm told that more clockwise = more power and all the way counterclockwise is off. But I'm mainly looking for better mileage. Any suggestions on where I should try and dial it for the best mileage?

Thanks again for the help.

yes, clockwise = power.

best mileage gains will be found from playing with the knob with your driving style.

No matter what I do, or how I hook it up, the check engine light comes on and the motor only runs in “limpâ€
