MPH Callibration

I have 35/12.5/17 tires and when I converted the size to metric 318/72/17 and re-program it my MPH is still off by 5 to 6 MPH. What is the best size to enter for an accrurate speed odometer reading? Thanks in advance!!!

tire width 217
Aspect Ratio 72%
wheel size 17

That will work for my 2004.5 Duramax programmer? I am a rookie at this stuff. I do not understand Aspect Ratio. Thanks in advance
