What am i actually getting out of my programmer?
I have a predator u7194 version 9r10. My question is what am I actually getting out of it? I bought it mainly for the speedo calibration, however are there any shifting improvments or power adj programmed into the initial 87 oct tune??? Just curious as I may end up going with a custom tune later, but i want to know what I'm actually getting now performance wise. thanks

The 87 tune adds a solid 10-15 rwhp, and easy 15-20 ft/lbs on your truck, plus shift feel is improved in later revisions.

RE: What am i actually getting out of my programmer?
I had that Predator in my 2010 Silverado and was running 9r18 since I had my truck and the gains are very noticable, especially after taking the tune out. I recently got the new InTune programmer and couldn't be happier so far. My suggestion would be to update to the lastes version for that Predator to get the more improved shifting and whatever other slight changes may have been made. I asked this question a few days ago in the InTune forum and was told by that after 9r18, there were some slight changes in the tune and improved shifting.
With the noticed difference I saw coming from the 9r18 to new InTune I would say the update to the newest revision will be well worht it.

that stuff, and a lot more, can be done by getting a custom tune...

be happy you have 9r10. i dont care for any tune after 9r17, they make the truck feel very sliggish. and once you do 9r17, you cant go back to previous croms.
