That sounds like the tool may need to come in to be checked out.

Ok well I called DiabloSport this morning and inquired about my issue. They told me I needed to send it in to be checked out so I said ok I live local (15 min) and will bring it by. They said they don't take walk in's. REALLY so I have to pay 13 dollars to ship it 15 miles. Next I ask will I be charged the $99 for the service (Trinity is no longer under warrenty) because it was obviously corrupt software and not a hardware issue and they said maybe. MAYBE? WTF. Then they proceeded to tell me my tool will take up to 30 days to fix. At this point I'm beginning to laugh inside my head. Well my cars back to stock and I can't put my custom tune back in until my tool is fixed. I have numerous performance upgrades and need that custom tune in order to drive my car. Thanks DiabloSport for your great crom updates!!!

John, all we need is a copy of the receipt showing the unit was purchased within 1 year and we will cover it under warranty.

30 days is a standard answer for turn around, it rarely ever takes that long.

It's no longer under warranty it was purchased over a year ago. The unit was working perfect the whole time. I did the one update and now it's a brick. I don't think it's right to charge customers for a repair that was ultimately caused by your update!!!!!

I dunno why some people are having issues with the 1r08h trinity update and some aren't... it's not consistent, so I don't think it's the update necessarily...

I updated my own trinity a week or two ago with that update and had no issues with it... yeah, I got the message "internal update requires a reboot", which I never got with any other update before, but I figured this was because the tcm stuff was being added... so I did what it said and I unplugged the trinity and rebooted it, and everything was fine... I have no issues with it...

and I know others that have updated to it as well and have been ok too... but then ya see on the forums here with people having issues with it...

so this is definitely wierd...

what previous revision was your trinity on before you tried to update to the new 1r08h??

have you tried to do an update to the trinity with the file again? maybe reinstalling it will fix some gremlin...

MonteSS my car is completely stock again (including that stupid AFM) will it be safe to drive or should I just keep it in the garage and just wait it out until I get YOUR tune back in my car.

Monte I don't recall the previous version. Now when I connect it to my computer the Trinity powers up and displays that message. It seems that the Trinity is in a standby state and DS downloaded can no longer find the tool connected to the computer.

you'll be ok to drive it, but your fueling's gonna be a little off and you're going to throw trouble codes and CEL for your headers/highflow cats you have on there...

but it won't damage anything, you'll be fine...

For the CEL error I installed a set of O2 extenders from these guys http://bigdaddiesgarage.com/straight-cel-fix.html
Been running Kooks headers and x-pipe for over 2000 miles now and no error.

Back to the Trinity update, I installed the latest update yesterday, the Trinity needed to reboot three times. Eventually after about 10 minutes of updating it was ready to go.

JohnHarrison...I had the same issue...took it inside and connected to my PC...still nothing.

So, I disconnected and then connected...then again.....then again....after about 6 times, letting the unit power off and then back on again, it came up fine.

Good luck with it.

Yea I tried it like 50 times with no luck. I already sent my trinity in to have it repaired. I will not be updating my Trinity anymore that's for sure. Paying $99 bucks to get it fixed really sucks "o" plus shipping lol. Wish they would take walk in like everyone else does but o well shit happens.
