Hard shift slips in 3rd/after trans rebuild
I've got an F-350 2002. I just had the tranny rebuilt with a high buck torque converter that locks @ a lower rpm. I am running the 100hp setting (wich kicks ass ) stock shift setting is fine. Hard shift slips in third! Predator reads, improper 3rd gear ratio . After alot of trouble shooting with the tranny shop all anyone can figure is the HARD shift program is not applicable to the triple spline low rpm stall converter.Does this sound right to you guys? And if so, would it be possible to get a custom program for this transmission? I called the tech line and the fellow I spoke with agreed with our thoughts on this ,but I would value a second opinion. This tranny rebuild was $3400 and I don't want to "F" it up.Thank you in advance.

Tunner, I was the gentleman that talked to you earlier today. I saw your post on here requesting a second opinion. I spoke with the ford tuner. He did agree with the info that I gave you. He said to not run the firm shift program. I hope this helps you out. If you have any more questions please give us a call.

RE: Hard shift slips in 3rd/after trans rebuild
Thanks Phil ! Sorry I didnt catch your name on the phone. Thank you for helping me understand what is going on with my trans. I feel alot better now, and NO MORE SLIP! I got your Predator as part of a package with full 5" stainless exhaust Brute Force cold air intake and a Banks big head waste gate. This package on the 100hp setting doubled my mileage and more than doubled the power! It is unbelievable!! I would strongly suggest a heavy duty torque converter to anyone with these mods.To handle all the extra power. Thanks again!!
