2007 Avalanche 6.0 VMax - new revision this week?
2007 Avalanche 6.0 VMax - new revision this week?
First time I tried my U7194 Predator on my 07 Av, it messed things up and it would not recover. Called in to support and was walked through a reset, no go, she was dead. Had to have it towed in to the dealer, they replaced the PCM, and I am back running again.
Called Diablo this week, was told it's a known problem and a fix (update) would be out this week for the U7194.
1. Is there anyone else on here who has had this happen?
2. What the heck is it doing? Is is actually screwing up the PCM?

Not going to happen this week, sounds like everyone is at SEMA. Wish I was too.

Got the #10 revision today installed (what a battle, thanks Phil!), am running the 87 Octane tune - better throttle response, less lag on power, very nice! Feels good to be back in the game after three months, now I'm going to start learning how to use this thing.
First off, what are the parameters of the "Diablo Tune" for a 6.0 07 Avalanche? Is it a 93 octane or 91 octane tune?
Do you have to restore the factory tune to make changes to the Predator tunes?

not sure about the trucks... but for my Monte SS, we have a Diablo Tune (made for 93 octane gas), and then we have a 91 octane tune, and an 87 octane tune...
no, you do not have to restore the original backup before switching tunes...

Thanks Lew! The question I have is little more specific, i.e. do you have to restore the original tune in order to modify the Predator tune? The owners manual says:06MonteSS wrote:no, you do not have to restore the original backup before switching tunes...
"If you wish to modify a tune, simply select “Modify Tuneâ€
