ok cool thanks for the input. so did you use the rkl extreme puff w/no timing or the rkl extreme stack puff w/no timing. just curious do you think it would make a differance i have an 05 not an 03? sorry for all the questions im new to stacking and just want to do it right. just looking for better bottom end and throttle response.

Wellllll......if you are new to this and you really want to know....I can tell you my opinion of add-ons. So far I have gone through (2) pistons due to valve seats dropping from excessive heat. I believe the heat was from stacking the pressure box and a TST . Now I only run a tuner other then the hardware installed in the motor. By the looks of your signature it appears as long as you control the EGT's you have a nice setup. You should have plenty of power on the base tunes (I stayed away from the RKL timing tunes as I always got rattle, and excessive smoke even while idling). The Predator does not have any Torque management settings like the Smarty, that is the best way to get bottom end throttle response. Ya i have been patiently waiting for EFI live i hope it comes out soon. but im not too sure when so im just trying to tune my truck a little better. i just got my twins in and they should spool between 70-75 but the highest ive seen is 60-63 so iwas hoping to get a little more out of them. i tried running just the extreme on the predator and the edge on stock but didnt like it at all. it smoked like crazy and was dead off the start real bad. I thought all the regular tunes had too much timing to stack with the juice, but it seemsto be hard to get any info on timing on any of the tunes. thats why i will try the no timing tunes just wish there was a smaller one than just extreme. The reason i went with predator not smarty was i had one just lying around and didnt want to wast money because i will be getting EFI. do any of the base tunes have no or little timing? which one seemed to work best for you?

Have you tried one or the other? Meaning either the Juice by itself or the predator by itself (no stacking). Ya I have run the juice for a few years, I like it I was just looking for more since I put the twins on. I have tried the predator on extreme with the juice on stock and did'nt care much for it. The edge has way smoother power and better throttle response. The predator was real dead off the start and smoked like crazy, it made good power it was just so unresponsive. I have not stacked the two yet. I am waiting for my 5 inch staight exhaust it goes on on thursday. I would be fine running the predator on the base tunes with my edge, I was just concerned about too much timing(hard to get any info on how much if any timing is added on any these tunes). I will just have to to some playing around and see. When you ran them together did you have the juie, or just the ez.

With those mods you should be 650-700hp or so. Stupid question maybe, but I don't see what you are using for air filter in your signature (high ram?). Ya thats what i was thinking i should be around for power, but it just doesnt seem like the truck has it. The high ram is banks intake horn. The air filter is what came with the bdr700 twins, I dont really like the intake the filter seems small and the piping does also. Before the twins i had an afe and it was twice the size in every way. I have been thinking of a battery relocate so i can make my own intake, but i just havent figured out how yet.

I just looked at them. Maybe that is the way to go. Id be concerned with higher temps with it. I have decided after all this i dont think stacking the predator is the way to go, maybe a epp would be better (that means gauges as well). I got my 5 inch exhaust on and it did not drop my egt like i thought. So now i have to spend my money trying to drop the egt before i contine looking for more power. As far as i can tell i have done all that i can besides increasing the water meth or even changing to a better intercooler. From what ive been told by guys running race trucks the banks system is not as good compared to afe. They said that they saw 200 deg drop when they switched. I can hit 1650 plus quickly. Would a bigger air intake help drop egt? Any other suggestions.
