2009 6L90e no tcm

Post by 2500hdandk20 »

This is for Mikel, I have been talking to Lew, and I called support and talked to Jon, so here it goes. I updated my Intune (App:1r02a and GM tune Db: 1t01ga) I plug in the intune and all it wants to do is backup my ecm, it never asks about the tcm, Jon told me to update my tcm at a dealer. So I went in and a good buddy of mine that works there plugged in the update tool, the tranny was all up to date, but the ecm had one update. Here is a picture of the TCM updates and my Vin #. I guess my next question is do you have tcm for the 6l90e?

You should be added as of 1r01g GM tunes DB.

Fapenhamp wants TCM support! On a serious note, just got home and made the mistake of updating my inTune 20 minutes before I wanted to go to bed. 70 minutes later it's up to date. I plan on getting it installed with TCM support and can't wait to see what all of y'all have been enjoying for a few months now.

Yeah, going in today. Using the firm TCM setting. Once this tank of gas is gone I'm going to see what Lew's 93 octane tune is all about, it s going to be great.

Hi Mike,
Thanks to all for the thread so I dont have to ask so many questions
I downloaded the GM tune by accident, I have 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 hemi 5.7 Vin is 1D7HU18267S216572
intune version 1r02b
LTW 87 octane tune
Calid 05094405AJ
tune db DCX 1r01b
PID DB 1r01a
Long thread but I think I read that Dodge TCM has always been there? Its not formally called TCM but I see pressures for 1-2 2-3 but not 3-4. I updated, rebotted and updated again. Do you see any flaws in my process.
Thanks in advance

Is torque reduction management and TCM tune not the same? My 03 Silverado has the torque reduction, but nothing about a TCM tune. I got the Intune last thursday and it was up to date as of yesterday...

your 2003 does not have a separate TCM module for the tranny - you won't have a separate TCM tune.. it is part of your single PCM which controls both the engine and transmission settings...

so for your older truck, the torque reduction setting is for the tranny settings, yes...
