is it nessasary for intune to auto-update?

Post by worm »

Hey guys, im sure the intune is a great product i am only working on this thing with a customer that i sold one to. I notice everytime you guys do an update intune also has to do an update.......so in turn if i were to have an old truck like i got i would have to go through all the software update that the new guys need where i could be using it to DV on my vehicle.

for example i have a newer vette now and already did some log runs and want to do the DSlogredux thing but cant i have to wait for all the ford updates and now is under "remote controll' i guess doing a differnt update.

just saying once "married" couldnt intune only due update it saw fit for that car....then once "unmarried" and "pluged in for the first time it could do its updates...then lets say you bought a new car..it would then only search out updates you need for that car.. see what im saying?

Yeah- every time I jump on the dyno with a guys car and I have to wait 15 or 20 minutes while the intune downloads an update for some random vehicle the customer stares at me like "what the hell is going on?" and at $125 an hour thats an expensive update!!

Can we (CMR dealers) have a way to turn off the automatic updating??

the latest cd rom release (auto updater) will NOT do anything if CMR is installed on the PC ;)

If you want to update it on a PC with CMR, you'll have to let the intune.exe run and click update/check now, otherwise, it will just sit there and tell you the tool is up to date...
