First time use precautions!!!

Post by Erickson5006 »

When you get your new intune, DO NOT plug it into your vehicle!! Plug it into the computer and update it first(has to be registered). Diablo is selling out of date/glitchy intunes that will wipe your ECU and then be unable to rewrite a new program. I had to get my truck towed to the dealer today and have them reprogram my silverado after making this mistake. (not as simple of a product as advertised...) And when you update the intune, it will delete the saved backup of your original program.

They're selling units that are current when they leave the factory. They have no control of how long they sit on the distributers shelves.

P.S. there is an owners manual on the intune itself.

P.S. do not assume that Diablo dealers actually know how to use an intune....

we have means of getting around the deleted backup after the update.

There is also a sticker on the USB cable that asks you to plug into a PC before attempting to use the tool, since we know they can sit in distribution for some time.

I plugged mine into my 2011 silverado straight out of the box and it worked great. I updated a day after and my stock tune stayed in as it should nothing was erased.

My intune was one of the first models and it had faulty software. We ordered 3 intunes from Keystone (june 2012, and august2012), and they all had faulty software. So check yours out before attempting to use it.
