knock and spark adv. question

Post by spennella »

when logging, what should my spark advance numbers be WOT and about 30% throttle??

Also what should knock be? 0 all the time?

Will increasing spark advance result in more power/acceleration?

KR should always be at 0.
Total spark depends on the vehicle and its operating conditions.
Generally increasing timing will increase perfprmance. Keep in mind that timing is already advanced in the tunes.

at WOT, you want 0 KR.....

during normal driving / part throttle, you will most likely have KR, as you will be lugging the engine in too high of a gear...

but again, at WOT, you want 0 KR....
