2012 Challenger R/T with K&N CAI, 85MM throttle body

Post by Peter_beresky »

Sorry to bother you and I hope this isnt a stupid quesiton. I have a 2012 Challenger RT 6 speed Manual. My mods include K&N CAI, Arrington 85mm throttle body, flowmaster 40 series exhaust. I currently have the 93 Octane tune loaded. I also have a 08 mustang gt with the canned CAI tune installed and I know more fuel is added for this tune. So my questions are, do I need to adjust the fuel on the trinity 93 octane tune? If so, how and how much? Do you plan on releasing canned tunes for 85mm TB and CAI, roughly when? Thanks for your time.

What brand of gas are you using? Thats way too much KR, and adding gas may make it worse if its garbage like Shell or some no name.

Try adding a little fuel in the ranges where you're getting KR. If it helps then the gas is fine. If it makes it worse, you gotta try to find another brand.

That helped a little, not much. Its gotta be the gas. I'm also wondering about those misfires.

I actually think it made it worse. It was worse than my first log with 93 but better than the second. Also it had 7 misfires.

Yeah, but why is it misfiring? I never had a single misfire on either SRT8. Thats gotta be either the plugs or coils. Are they all on 1 cylinder or is it a random?

I have adjusted fuel in the 91 tune but still misfiring. On the 93 tune I am getting no misfires.
I started increasing fuel under the wot setting a 2 percent. I'm now at:
1000-3800-4%
4000-5000-5%
5000-7000-5%

Knk retard-3.5
Knk retard-1
Misfires-0
Is it safe to increase to more fuel, or is there another suggestion? I appreciate all the help so far.

i highly doubt it was misfiring at WOT....add a little more fuel to quench the KR.
