No throttle
Last Sunday, after adjusting settings on my 12 Challenger RT M6, I went out to start my car to go to work. Had power but wouldn't start. I contacted DS, the PCM and Trinity were shipped to DS, reflashed, and sent back. DS paid for all shipping and were very helpful. I recieved the PCM and Trinity today, installed. The car starts, but I have no throttle control. The electronic throttle error light is on on the dash. I have several codes showing on the Trinity. When the key is turned to the "run" possition, the TB acts like it goes through its self check. I can hear it and see the gate move a little. I have tried disconnecting the battery, pos and neg sides at different times, disconnecting the TB wire, removing fuse #2. I am out of ideas. Does the PCM need to be reflashed again? Is there another fix for this? Any help/suggestions would be appriciated.
Re: No throttle
Wow. What version of the crom are you using in the trinity? 'E'? Or earlier such as c or d?
Am interested as I have suffered a failure that resulted in the need to get the dealer to reflash the whole thing.
If it is still happening with e. I have now little faith they even know what's going much less fix it.

Re: No throttle
It was e version.

Re: No throttle
Put the stock throttle body back and try it.

Re: No throttle
Have You tried to calibrate the throttle? if not the info is in "100 challenger tips and tricks" http://www.sequentialtaillights.com/dod ... Tricks.htm
Re: No throttle
Yea, I tried calibrating it, turned ignition to run, not starting, and pressed throttle slowly three times. No success. I'll check out the website.

Re: No throttle
Hi.
I went through both of the issues at different times.
For the first problem, I had the same thing. Had power but couldn't start the car. It was due to the battery being low on voltage. I just charged it using jump start cables, it worked immediately after the first try.
For the second problem, I had the intake rubber installed the wrong way. It was stuck in the throttle, making it hard for the throttle blade to open/close. Try to check if the throttle entrance anything in the way, or even try cleaning it.
Hope this helped.
P.S: My car is charger SRT8 6.4L.

Re: No throttle
Well, installed the original back up that I had on an SD card that was on the PCM before sent to DS. Still no throttle. I guess I will be taking it to a dealer and having the PCM re-reflashed
Re: No throttle
From what I can gather, the PCM is trying to turn the throttle blad the wrong way in the TB. When the key is in the on position, not run, and the TB goes through self check, the motor is moving, but the blad is trying to turn the wrong way!
Re: No throttle
Just an update for anyone who may be having problems or is interested in this issue.
I limped the car to my local dealership (only about 4 miles at 17mph max speed). They were very helpful, however, it being Saturday, I was told that the tech who would be the one to reflash it was off and they were not sure that they could fix it. It was pulled in to the shop bay and hooked up. They were able to fix it. I was told that the PCM had no throttle command, possibly from the Trinity. However, it came back from DS like this (I assume with a stock tune), so I do not think that it was the tuner. The cost was $72 and some change for the reprogramming. I reinstalled the BBK 85mm TB when I got home, and it works fine, however the RPMs at idle are a little high. I have been tempted to adjust it with the Trinity, but I am VERY hesitant (or gunshy so to speak)! I know the e CROM was supposed to fix everything, but I am getting the low voltage error message, so that tells me that there is possibly more issues. So, I will not be using the tuner for some time. I do not want to go through this again! My car was out of commission for almost a week, which would have been tomorrow, bringing my family (wife works too and have two kids that have to go to school) down to one car, forcing us to make other arrangements for transportation.
If anyone has any questions on this issue, don't hesitate to PM me or leave a message on this post and I will help as best I can, course I'm no where near as knowlegeable as the DS techs, but I know they don't work 24/7. Just hope this helps anyone with similar issues and or prevents issues.
I would like to add again that DS was very helpful. I communicated with Mikel, who was helpful. They did pay for all shipping, overnight, and when it was shipped back to me from FL to TX, it was sent Thursday and I got it Friday.

Re: No throttle
The BBK could be causing problems. They normally throw codes, and there's zero power gain on the dyno. The stock 80mm flows enough air for 426ci at 6400rpm, so anything smaller then 7.0L will get nothing, other then perhaps better throttle response. Any gains would be temporary, and once the adaptives learn they will disappear.
Re: No throttle
No codes with the BBK, it has worked very well, with improved throttle. Its mostly just a piece of the puzzle for future modifications as I have to buy one at a time, and I do add them as I get them regardless of gains as long as it causes no problems. The problem was in the PCM, well, the problem was caused by the Trinity making the PCM malfunction, once not allowing the car to start, then, once returned after being reflashed by DS, having no throttle programming/control. Even with stock TB, throttle was F'd, as that was the first thing I tried, changing back to stock. Luckily my local Dodge house fixed me up after liming to it not wanting to pay for a tow.
Re: No throttle
Wow.
Bit more detail about the time when your car couldn't start...
Did you have a flashing red dot led when that happened? Did you have no ignition at all?
I had a message asking me to press clutch in to start car????? I have an auto. 2012 300 srt8
Just trying to figure out if we had the same failure.
Ds said they managed to get a car to fail in a similar way and now apparently know how to fix it. F crom is supposed to fix it. And was meant to be out by now.
I am skeptical still. They haven't gone into detail and keep reassuring that it will be fine. Which was why I tried 'd and bricked my car making it unable to be fixed over the phone. Hence seeing these stupid failures occurring with 'e', I'm not going to try f until there are no more reported problems.

Re: No throttle
Yes, the red security dot light was flashing. Don't know if this had any relation though. I had power when the key was turned to "on". But, when I attempted to start the car, absolutely NOTHING, no turn over at all. I did still have dash info function though. After the PCM was flashed and I reinstalled, it started fine, but the electronic throttle light was on and when applying throttle, I had no response. As I sad, the TB had power because it sounded like it was perfroming self check. You can hear the electric motor/sylonoid in it and hear the throttle blade. How much did it cost you to fix it, that is if you went to a dealership?
IF!! I do decide to try the Trinity again, I WILL be at a dealership so that if a problem does come up, I can fix it right then. I'm still debating this because I have spent the money for this tool and do enjoy the gains, but do not enjoy having a non-functional vehicle and/or paying to have problems fixed as a result of using it.
